Any definitive answer on the delay?
There's been dozens of threads speculating why Episode 2 was delayed, ranging from "We figured out the plot too soon and the ginger guy was the killer" to "Nudity caused the delay" to "Telltale is busy with other stuff", but I'm not making this thread for the sole purpose of speculation.
I'm genuinely curious; has Telltale posted anywhere, on any medium, reasons for the delay? I'm not too in-the-loop for Telltale announcements. All I know is they gave a very, very vague mention to it in an announcement for Ep. 2's release, citing "technical issues" and nothing else. It's almost like Telltale is being secretive.

Not sure if this is what you meant in your post but other than this, I don't think anything has been said.
Although telltale haven't stated anything, the majority of the forum believes that its because they had to change the story alot. If this was the case, then it makes sense that they would keep it secret as it would damage their reputation as story tellers. Here's some proof for the story change, from strongest to weakest:
Almost none of the ep1 end trailer showed in the final product(Major scene reworking)
Unrelated achievements(From the previous story?)
Ep 3 title slide has changed(Definent story changes there)
Several character models did not appear(Possible character changes, either that or saving for next episode)
No red haired guy(The one the forum guessed as the killer. Its possible he was and they changed the plot, or they are saving him for a later episode as well)
No Prince Lawrence(May just be an oversight)
Current crime seems unrelated to Faiths death(Maybe the plot is more complicated and Bigby is wrong, but if he is correct then the two killings are unrelated)
