  • I don't get it :/

I'm pretty sure he said that because that's the only way he can explain the spell.

  • He told Bigby "It's not my choice of words Bigby. It's simply the way it has to be."

  • Maybe not looking deep enough into it definitely the monkey never to be seen around the time of murder always drunk as cant deal with the shame. Yes no one will ever suspect the monkey

  • I think that the spell uses the lipstick, not the ribbons.

  • hmm, I saw the scene you told me about... You could be right, but I don't think that's enough to assume Crane is his boss...
    Well, time will tell.

  • That is actually enough. Crane ends up being quite a chatterbox after that exchange of words. I also liked waiting to strike at Dee, interestingly Bluebeard wants Bigby on his good side. This makes me suspicious of Bluebeard, when I'm completely suspicious of Crane. Especially Crane's behavior before and after the interrogation.

Is there any pictures that have the lip marks on the ribbon? I've never noticed it before. Maybe my TV is too dark to notice something like that.

  • I think the spell is not related to any item... I think it is just on them. Maybe its like a contract, and the ribbons are just a way to symbolize it...

  • Well, that makes sense of why Faith wanted to show Bigby her ribbon and tried to change the subject of their conversation. She might have wanted him to pull it off.

I think maybe Georgie just gives his workers the ribbons and they can't take the ribbons off their selves or speak about their job while the ribbons are on because magicz.

Perhaps if a worker tries to talk about their job they get killed.

That still doesn't explain why the magic mirror repeated the phrase "these lips are sealed" though. As of right now it just seems like it's for plot convenience in my opinion lol. But I suppose the ribbons could also prevent viewing the workers with magic or something like that. >.>

  • Well this might be a stretch but "These lips are sealed" made me think of "sealed with a kiss." As in the kiss to wake up snow white. Don't know that that adds anything really as we knew the whole Snow White angle but... yeah...

  • The hell? I posted this with much more elaborate thoughts!

  • I think the spell is more than just 'don't allow them to talk', not even the mirror can show them...
"through powerful magic her whereabouts concealed..."
If it was just the lips, they could write whatever they wanted to say haha

Well, that makes sense of why Faith wanted to show Bigby her ribbon and tried to change the subject of their conversation. She might have wan

  • But the ribbon wouldn't be able to place the head on the stoop and it would make sense that the magic makes it unable to come off at all or else they could talk all they want and it would then be useless.

What if Crane took it off during his little fantasy?

  • we do see a similar styled lingerie though

well we didn't see a ribbon on her body so maybe she broke the rules and tossed it away.

Maybe Crane accidentaly took the ribbon off since he wanted to dress Lilly just like Snow was in her fable, and she didn't have a ribbon then. It's not like Lilly could stop him either, since she was probably put to sleep to coincide with the tale.
Maybe all he really wanted was a night with glamoured Snow and killed her by accident when he took off the ribbon...

He unties the ribbons, head falls off, he panics and tries to get rid of everything. So he puts Lilly/Snow's head in the front of the apartment to try and imitate the real murderer who took Faith out, in an attempt to remove any suspicion from him and pin it on the original killer. If anyone found out about his little fantasy and Lilly's accidental death, his career would be over.

The ribbon is strangely missing on Lilly when Bigby inspects her. I'm thinking Crane got rid of it or is keeping it on him.

  • everything u said makes sense, except I about when u said Crane put Lilly/Snows head in front of the apartment. I think Crane really thought that that was Snows head. did u see Cranes face when he saw snow appear, he was very surprised and shocked to see her still alive. but everything else u said made a lot of sense. Your pretty good at figuring stuff out. :)
