Lawerence first but dead anyways?
Is there something you are supposed to do, do the tarot cards affect if he is dead anyways? I replayed just so I could save him and chose him first like everyone says and he was dead anyways

Did you keep investigating after you arrived at the the apartment and found him there?
Tip: check the note on the bed. But do not check the note if you are not done investigating the flat, don't repeat my mistake. You won't have a chance to continue investigation after you pick up the note from the bed.
I must also warn you that it is still possible to mess up and get Lawrence killed, so to speak. Even if you go to him before Toad's. But you will have to talk to him first.
You have to jump out at him before he shoots himself when Dee is in the room.
Huh? I don't know about other options, but if you choose to tell him half-truth he never shoots himself. When Dee breaks in, he threatens him with the gun, but Bigby automatically jumps out of the closet before Dee has a chance to actually say something except "calm down, I'm just a guy looking for answers too".
He shoots himself if you tell him Faith is dead and then don't leave the closet in time.
For telling the whole truth he'll try to kill himself. I'm not sure about the others. I did play half truth however but I jumped out right away, I wasn't taking chances.
Lawrence will always look dead when you first see him, and Bigby and Snow will assume he is. But Fables are tough to kill, and he's only exceedingly near death. Eventually while investigating, he'll spring back and Snow will gasp and go "Oh God -- he's alive!"
Or something like that. You'll then be able to actually ask him questions, and find Dee break in.
I'm kinda bummed that even if you save him he doesn't even appear in ep2.
Plus after chasing after Dee, you don't even bother to go back and check on a half dead Lawrence?
I'm not sure if you noticed but if you choose to save (I told half truth and jumped out) Lawrence in ep.1 there will be a clip of him saying "Where is the rest of her" suggesting that both him and Faith's body (I assume he is talking about Faith but quite possibly it could be someone else). Further, one can see that he is standing under the fancy bridge you see all the way in the very beginning (first "frame") of ep.1. What I gather from this is that the the murder seen of Faith is in the vicinity of the bridge. Although Lawrence might not have been part of the second ep. he certainly helped telling something about the future episodes.
What you think of this theory?
Yea totally agree that he will come out again and help somehow.
I just think skipping him altogether after chasing Dee and not even going back to question him in ep2 (I would have liked a scene where he's in the hospital or recovering somewhere, to confirm he didn't just vanish) didn't make a whole lot of sense haha
Yeah, I totally agree. I would have loved to see a chapter where you for example visit Lawrence at Dr.Swineheart's (in episode 2 that is). This could have been exactly what the episode needed to make make it long enough (I must agree with the people who are saying it is on the short side). Would have allowed the players to meet a new interesting fable in addition to tighing up some lose ends regarding the prince. Swinehert could for example have told Bigby and Snow about what he had found out about Faith's decapitation infront of the wounded Lawrence making him freak out if you didnt tell him the truth in ep1.
But now I just rambeling about what i think would have been cool, lol. It is as you say kinda dumb that nobody cares about Lawrence after the Dee chase, especially if he shoots himself. Not mentioning him in ep2 after one of the tencest chapters in ep1 leaves a bad mark and it will be strange to see how he pops up later in the season.
No, I'm saying he is dead when I get there, and I chose to go to him first, no dialog, no living lawerence, he has already od/cut/shot himself. I keep getting the same scene you get if you go to frog first.
Its Mr Toad to you >=D
What do you mean, the same scene? Is Lawrence on the floor?
Like others have said, when you arrive he appears dead with an unresponsive, blank stare and flies buzzing around him, the works. He has a gunshot wound to his chest, slit wrists, pills on the end table, etc. Naturally, Snow and Bigby assume that he's dead.
However (this is important) as long as he is sitting up in the chair, you can be sure that you have entered the scenario in which he has a chance to live. He should always be sitting in the chair if you choose his place first. If he is lying on the floor, which is the case if you go to his apartment second, then you won't be able to save him.
Walk around, examine stuff, check out all of the clues, then pull down the murphy bed. He will gasp and suddenly regain consciousness. At this point, you have a chance to either tell him that Faith is dead, or tell him a half truth, or whatever. If you tell him that she is dead, then there is still a chance that he may shoot himself when Dee comes to search the apartment if you don't jump out of the closet fast enough.
