Certainly, I wouldn't dare write anything without her! XD (mainly because I'm fond of her too :P)
Indeed. It's TalkTalk, however I think they use the same lines as B.T., which is British Telecom. It's one of those things that, when it stops working properly, you really start to realise just how much you use it. What would we all do without the internet?
That's a good one XD I was thinking about some old cartoons and movies that had monster like creatures, and Treasure Planet had a fart noise making monster so I figured it would work out XD
Me too! Although, Jian will certainly be of help. He's also a sweetheart (Haha I didn't mess it up that time. Never again!)
I say, it was quite the monster mash in that castle, was it not? Ugh, and those fart-like noises, something that cannot be undone!
I personally think Ava and Mary will kick ass and be fine by themselves, but I wouldn't mind Jian coming too!
"Jian-min?" Ava's voice came out to a soft whisper. She nearly buckled at the knees when she realized that she could have just possibly killed him.
Bellatrix huffed impatiently. "Seriously? You made us hide in here and it ended up being someone you knew?"
Ava shrugged, ignoring Bella's annoyed demeanor. She pulled Jian's body into the room - it was heavier than she expected - and propped him against a sac of rice grains.
"This puts a damper on the escape," Bella said, though it was a more humorous response than an annoyed on this time. She crouched on the opposite side that Ava sat by him and together they stared at his face.
"I hit him really hard..." Ava trailed off, feeling bad.
"Well, he's still breathing. The worst you seem to have done is maybe a minor concussion. I doubt-" Before Bellatrix could finish her sentence, Jian puked his last meal onto his lap. The girls jumps out of the way of the splatter, and were lucky not to have been hit.
"Yep. Concussion." Bellatrix finished.
Jian-min blinked his eyes open softly. He was squinting at the light behind both Ava's and Bella's head, and then he nearly screamed when he saw Bella's face.
Ava grabbed his wrist before he could reach for his blade. "Stop!"
"Ava, let go! It could hurt you!"
"I'm a she, not an it," Bella corrected. She stepped far away from him and leaned on a wooden crate. "Bella, even. I have a name."
Ava pulled the swords loosely out of Jian-min's hand, and began to explain the predicament they were in.
"I know everything," She started. "All of the things that my sister and my mother were hiding from me. And I don't doubt them for not telling me....but I wish that they did, because I probably wouldn't be stuck here as willingly."
"Did he touch you?" Jian-min's voice was terse but quiet. His bright blue eyes were trained on her dark hazel colored eyes, staring intensely. "And don't lie. Please."
She shook her head. "No. No, he didn't have the chance to do so. It....makes sense," She whispered the last part. "I....thought he was acting far too friendly. And....the ball....the dress....what man puts his daughter in a dress with such a low neckline?"
Jian-min laughed. "I honestly doubt he did that on purpose, but I suppose that adds to the creepiness."
He stood, rubbing the back of his head and winced at the touch. "You got me hard. Erm...So where exactly were you headed?"
Bella finally jumped in, her hair flying behind her as she walked forward. It was long and a deep, deep royal purple color. It complimented the glitter of her off-white skin. "I have a resistance group."
"A what?"
She laughed. "Doesn't your mundy world deal with rebellious people every now and then?" She crossed her arms as she faced him, a whole foot shorter. Despite her petite size, she was still able to give off a strong leadership feeling.
"Not as often as you would think-" Jian began, but she cut him off.
"Any who, I lead them. Being the King's right hand woman, if you will, has given me many opportunities, no doubt. At first, I supported him fully in his ways. How could I not? He was charming - and still is, to an extent."
"How is that relevant?" Jian-min asked. He looked uncomfortable being so close to Bella. Ava pulled him back some, near her. It made her heart skip lightly.
"I'm trying to tell my story," She said. "If you will listen?"
"Go on," Ava interrupted.
Bella smiled at the girl and nodded softly. "I became sickened when he told us so casually what he planned on doing. After summoning most of us from the pits of Hell - Luckily, not the dimension I originated - He ordered us to train and to fight his enemies. He told us that all of our power was needed to destroy those who threatened him. Even more so, he took his highest ranking officers - Me, and a handful of others - and told us his entire story. How he practically crawled from his grave. You see....Men like Charles don't just die. There's just more too it. And his eldest hadn't officially taken the reigns. She had to be active in the role he used to play. Whatever she did with the necklace-"
"The necklace? This is all about the necklace?" Ava asked. After all this time, the stupid necklace?
"This is more than the necklace, though retrieving it is part of the plan, as far as I know. He wants all of his power back. And he wants to destroy all of his children, except you, and whomever is not yet against him. You, and your brother."
"Jackson..." Ava whispered softly. "Has he gotten to my brother yet?"
Bellatrix shook her head. "No, he hasn't discovered the boy's location."
She sighed with relief. If he were here....then she'd have to rescue him. "So can we leave now? Are they ready to take us to the portal?"
Bella nodded. "I've got my top flyer ready on the roof. We need to climb a ladder through an escape hatch-"
"We can't go," Jian said. He had a stony expression upon his face, as he looked between the two girls.
"Why not?" Ava asked. She felt unhinged by the way he had said it.
Jian placed his hand on Ava's shoulder, as if to stop her from falling. "He may have not gotten to Jackson, but he certainly has Mary."
Ava's heart dropped. Her big sister. The person who probably cares about her the most. The person she often times looked up to.
Mary.
"My dearest little Mary," Papa had said. Mary looked up at her father with happiness as he returned through the front doors. He was back from his job, and had a bag of gifts for her and her sister and brother. Being four years old meant that your entire world sat upon your father's shoulders. He picked her up and kissed her forehead like he would every time he came back, and set her down to give her the teddy bear he picked out.
"Just for you," He said. "For keeping our little secret."
Mary didn't like when he mentioned the secret. Her lip softly quivered, but his voice cooed at her before she could cry. He was so loving. Sometimes, too loving.
Mary blinked her eyes open rapidly. She couldn't talk. She was lying in her bed. Her bed. She began to breath with panic. How long had she been out? Where was Charles? What happened? She sat up. It was still night, as far as she could tell. She stood from the bed and pulled the curtains back. The moon was in the same phase as it had before. It was the same night.
She began to transform, but felt considerably weakened. The jewelry box sat on her desk, shining in the light of the single lit torch above her vanity. She grabbed it hastily and fastened it to her belt. It was the only thing she had left of her mother. The woman that she never got to meet.
The door swung open at that moment. Her heart had dropped in fear as she whipped her head, but instead of being attacked by some creature or escorted out of the room, there stood the silhouette of a female. She immediately tossed her arms open and ran over.
Ava.
Mary let out a labored breath of relief and joy. She hugged her arms around her sister tightly and stifled a cry. She still couldn't talk with out it hurting like hell.
"We need to go," Ava explained. "Are you alright? How did you get stuck in here?"
Mary went to talk, but nothing came out. She would have to just let herself heal in due time.
Ava sighed, just noticing the bruising. "I guess we'll talk later. Jian has a solution to defeat Charles."
Mary's eyes lit up, as if to ask 'How?'. She eagerly followed her sister in to the hall and noticed how low lit it was. Where was Charles? Wouldn't he have been monitoring her door? The rest of the place?
They turned a corner and those questions were answered. A creepy looking girl stood over the bloodied mess with pleasure in her eyes. "Do you know how long I've wanted to shank these two in particular? Thank the mighty one upstairs that they're no longer in this dimension to piss people off..."
"Don't worry," Ava said, sensing Mary's hesitation. "She's with us."
The strange monster girl grabbed the shoulder of a boy with white hair. She jerked back, glaring at her before leading them down the hall. They were now on pursuit of Mary and Ava's father.
Mary couldn't contain the excitement of ripping the flesh from Charles' face. From defiling him and cutting off parts of him that he should have never been granted at birth.
This time, she would have more of a plan.
Enough for now! I have more family over and I'm installing new games so I'm going to go over and do that instead of linger on the interwebs. Not to offend any of you, of course ^-^ I just have other priorities XD
True Colin although he seems smart but pretty dense at the same time The Brannigan part will be interesting same XD probably why she's the easiest character to write dialogue for for me
Colin probably doesn't even realise he's doing it most of the time. XD Guess we'll all have to wait and see how it goes with Brannigan then. Yeah, I can relate to go about stuff super awkwardly XD I'd probably get on with her. :P
I plan on doing that but with Emily, the experience is a lot more comical; she'll go along with it because she has to but that does not mean she has to like it. XD Glad the dry sense of humor worked and the picture was adorable. I too am pleased with the names. As we get closer to the births, more pics and descriptions of each kid.
The rituals performed by Gren during Carla's pregnancy distinctly sit in my mind, especially the cave; that Emily is already prepared for su… morech happenings is good. I really like Swineheart's dry humour in this xD and those names! As adorable as your picture, which is so heartwarming it would melt a snowman.
She is like her daddy in every way; she gets a second chance and her very own set of quads. I was going to do two of each but Gren seems like thetype of guy that would have more daughters than sons. Also, an excuse for Rosie to do their hair when she babysits. xD
And Holly's wedding. Soon her and Peter will have little Troll babies, too. And I'm pleased to know you have a favorite so far; I had a strange feeling you were going to be a team Viviana. Also, have fun at church. (assuming you already went when you read this)
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD
I'm not reading this TONIGHT....but I saw the picture AND I JUST HAD TO SAY THAT THESE BABIES ARE ABSOLUTEL… moreY GORGEOUS AND MY FAVORITE IS VIVIANA AND MY SECOND FAVORITE IS ALL OF THEM AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEIR PERSONALITIES AND THEIR BIRTH AND HOLLY'S WEDDING AND THEM AND THERE'S 3 GIRLS AND BOY JUST LIKE LYLA AND GEORGIE AND I HAVE TO SAY I WAS ACTUALLY EXPECTING YOU TO DO THE OPPOSITE SINCE EMILY IS A GIRL AND GREN IS A BOY AND HAVE THEM HAVE 3 BOYS AND A GIRL YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN BUT THIS IS ALRIGHT I LOVE THEM ALREADY AND I'M GOING TO GO TO BED NOW I HAVE CHURCH IN THE MORNING GOODNIGHT.
Hopefully it will but for right now, the gif war shall be on hold until further notice. Would hate to drain all your data all because of someone eating cake or something silly. XD
Thanks - I'm hoping it will get dealt with soon, but I should have enough data for a while. (so long as we don't have another one of our gi… moref-fests that is XD). It worked a bit last night, but only for a few minutes - makes me realise how much I use it!
You have every right to think that way, considering Vivian (along with the expecting parents) are the most excited to see these babies. (Oh and Georgie and Lyla of course) She has her reasons and I'll explain more as the story goes on. I'm planning on taking this and running with; will include Peter and Ethan's tales, too.
And KINDA; Vivian can see bits and pieces of what Emily's future holds but in the end, its up to Emily and how SHE taks that dirt road.
And the idea with Mary and Junior: Make a long story short, you know how it all began. Junior was born, Mary marked him and the rest is history. She was told by a Witch that Georgie's first born son would free her. Mary did not KNOW what that meant, considering her rocky past with so many people 'promising' her freedom. As Junior ages, his desires and need to see Mary increase to the point where he'll do ANYTHING to summon her. Also, as you've seen, his eyes change colors when she's nearby or he's either scared or angry. And the thing with Georgie and him noticing the same thing happening....also, I'll take turns with the kids.
I am curious as to WHY Vivian will not take up on the offer Emily has bestowed upon her as a chance to be the godmother to one of the babies… more; I know its a serious title to hand out in the Porgie Clan and it muddles me to know Vivian turned it down. Is there a reason WHY? If you wish to hold off on telling me due to spoilers, I'd be more than happy to wait and see.
The little dog is too precious. I can picture a pregnant Emily scooting the dog back while her Grendel returns with food. Your Fables and McDonalds-think Dragon mentioned this in a previous chapter regarding Emily. XD I think its too cute; I recall Bloody Mary wanting Burger King and nearly tearing Junior's head off when he almost didn't get it.
That section with Gren picturing all the kids and Emily fighting over ketchup. XD Why do I see this happening? XD
Now, I DO have a question in regards to Vivian: Can she SEE into Emily's future, considering she's her personal gurdi… [view original content]
Ain't that the truth! I love it! And yeah, Gren DOES seem like a guy who would have tons of precious girls Does this mean that there might be a set of twins later on in Em's future? Or are you sticking with the original four? Or, if you'd rather not say, you don't have to
I can't wait Holly is one of my favorites from the game, mostly because even though shit hits the fan, she's able to accept things despite the circumstances. And, if you're nice to her, she's cool with you ^-^ For the most part, of course. Plus, she's super pretty and she gives off a strong personality and I think her and Peter are a perfect match! I can't wait to see THOSE babies, lol. Hell, Harmony has even MORE family than she thought XD
And, I had a lovely day at church Very slow though, felt like more of a lazy day, you know? Had fun running the sound board.

Glad you agree. She and Gren will only have the quads. I feel four is enough for Emily and Gren.
I also will have to agree with you; I actually enjoyed her during the game and I'm happy to have her and Peter together and soon to expand their family. It's true, when you think about it: Harmony and Peter ARE family! Both with strong personalitites will make for fun writing.
Well, least you still had a good day at church. Was supposed to go today but the misses is required to stay off her feet for the next couple of weeks if possible.
Ain't that the truth! I love it! And yeah, Gren DOES seem like a guy who would have tons of precious girls Does this mean that there might … morebe a set of twins later on in Em's future? Or are you sticking with the original four? Or, if you'd rather not say, you don't have to

I'm currently on chapter 8 as of right now, will read more later.
And that's cool with the whole "controlling the horse during a fight" thing. However, Nick letting the horse do its thing during downtime seems... awkward - like, really awkward.
Aha! Very good question!!
If u read the Devil Among Us up to Chapter 18 on Act 1 then you would know already :P (Btw have u read any more… more yet?)
Nick IS connected to the horse; it is his torso attached behind it's neck as depicted in the image. The horse does have a mind of it's own and it acts like a regular horse; but Nick can control it at will... He usually gets it under HIS control when it gets alarmed or he wants it to attack someone.
Basically; during a fight the horse is under Nick's control, outside of a fight Nick lets the horse do it's thing
That's a good one XD I was thinking about some old cartoons and movies that had monster like creatures, and Treasure Planet had a fart noise… more making monster so I figured it would work out XD
Me too! Although, Jian will certainly be of help. He's also a sweetheart (Haha I didn't mess it up that time. Never again!)
When you put it that way it does seem kinda weird, but like I said he can get control of it whenever he wants to and he rarely uses his true form anyways :P

Never heard of it, I'm gong to assume it's a company that provides for the UK only. Besides, I was going to recommend having AT&T as your service provider, but I'm not entirely sure if they're available over there. :P
(and yeah, what will life be without the internet??? it's seriously like our lord and savior)
Certainly, I wouldn't dare write anything without her! XD (mainly because I'm fond of her too :P)

I could, but you have a good amount of reviews/comments on there already, as well as my one comment so far. (shouldn't you be satisfied enough?) Besides, not trying to be mean, but you constantly asking for reviews is getting to be pretty annoying.
Couldn't leave more reviews could you plz??

I'm sensing some MSJOR tension between Robert and the Jersey Devil; usually all Fables (last that's how I picture it) go out there and do their own thing away from mundy eyes. Same goes with all the other sections of forest that ar scattered out there. Him bullying Robert like that was indeed pretty humerous.
"Perhaps you did not hear me, Grendel. I asked you if MY fish was good."
"And why is this YOUR fish, Jersey? Because YOU grew up here, this gives you the right to bully people?"
"All Fables know the Pine Barrens are MINE to come and go as I so well please. YOU did not ask me to bathe in MY lake or eat MY fish or roam MY grounds."
This all right here made laugh; I could picture Robert feasting on the Trout and Jersey being his usual douche self. xD I'm wondering HOW they grew to have such hostility towards one another or if THIS has been like this always. You don't need to say if its a surprise.
The descriptions you had for Robert and what he was doing. Beautiful; that first section was well done, as was the water. And you did get it right in regards to the smell. She Wolves are born with a settle smell until their first period or they lose their virginity. This indicates to the other Wolf males that they are either available for mating, been claimed or simply 'loose' and should not be touched. John can smell all of this and know she is with child due to the smell she is giving off.
I'm curious now how this will all play out; RJ, the Folkers and Lyla finally saying goodbye. GREAT work like always.
Inherit the Beast Part one
The tread beneath Robert's clentched fists was soft and muddy. The sun was high, settling in between the trees… more and the ever blue skies. Clouds danced along with the wind, as if passing by to admire the beast down below.
In his true form, Robert held his head high. Birds flew above in groups, a Rabbit scurried past the mighty creature while several bugs flew in various directions suckling on the sweetness of the blooming flowers. Robert leaned his head back, open his powerful jaws and let out a beloowing roar. It shoke the ground and trees, echoing all around him. The noise startled a Mountain Goat, as it leapt across the cliffs and ledges to avoid this strange creature.
Robert could not remember the last time he was surrounded by such peace, serenity and abundance of nature. The area was thick with Pine, grass and quickly blooming floors. Woodland critters swam, swung, jumped and dashed all around Robert's … [view original content]

I finally wrote more for this story; I'm not entirely satisfied with this chapter but I can't figure out why...
Also I've decided to name this story Devils and Demons Plz Enjoy!! XD
Chapter 2 - The Cruelty of Siblings
The walk back to the house was pleasant enough; the woods were nice at this time of day and the breeze was calm and inviting. Nick wasn’t showing any signs of faltering as he carried the heavy deer carcass on his shoulder, an advantage of being a Harbinger was how limitless their stamina was. They could run or fight for days on end without rest and never falter once in their performance.
Lyra knew a lot about her parents, but there were some questions plaguing her thoughts that she had refrained from asking in case she offended them. Lyra looked up to Nick and spoke cautiously “What’s it like to kill someone?”
Nick looked down at his daughter in surprise, she had never expressed an interest in the concept of death and killing before, though given how Nick and Mary were both killers with violent pasts, they would've told Lyra these things eventually.
Nick had to think about a response, would he tell his daughter the harsh truth or tell a small lie to keep her occupied until she was older? He decided upon the former “Well; for me it feels like winning, I was made to kill, it’s what I'm good at... Sweetie, why do you want to know about that?
Lyra gave a half hearted shrug “Am I meant to enjoy killing?” Nick stopped and crouched in front of his daughter, keeping the deer on his shoulder the whole time “Sweetie, I hope you never have to kill anyone in your life; just because I enjoy it doesn’t mean that you will. I don’t want you to grow up into a monster like me-“
Lyra suddenly hugged her Father “You’re not a monster to me, you’re my Daddy!”
Nick gave a small laugh and hugged her back “I don’t deserve a treasure like you”
O Later on
A while later the two had finally reached the house; Mary was waiting in the doorway with a smirk on her face “Well, it looks like someone had fun today” Nick was covered in the deer’s blood, Lyra let go of his hand and went inside, Mary stroking her head as she ran past “What took you so long this time?”
Nick dropped the carcass and shared a quick kiss with his wife; he grinned as he spoke “Lyra scared off the food again” Mary giggled as Nick picked up the carcass again and carried it over to a table. She followed him to it and sat on its edge as Nick started skinning the deer with expert precision.
Nick spoke in amongst the cutting “You know she asked me what it was like to kill something” Mary looked a little shocked, deep down she knew the questions would come but not this early “What did you tell her?”
“I told her the truth for me; I like killing...” Mary didn’t look impressed with that response “Do you want our daughter to grow up like us?”
Nick stopped and turned to her “What did you want me to say? I’m not gonna lie to her now and tell her the truth later; of course I don’t want her to grow up into a killer but we can’t lie to her about this”
Mary crossed her arms, she was getting mad, a rarity in their house “There are things we don’t have to tell her you know. What if she starts to hate us for what we are?”
Nick had to agree that she was right, just because Lyra was their daughter didn’t mean that she necessarily understood them...
“Mary, she still loves us all the same, besides you’ve seen how sweet and kind she is-”
Mary moved closer to Nick “I can be sweet and kind when I want to be just like you can; it doesn’t mean I’m a saint”
Upstairs, Lyra had been listening to her parents heated conversation; Nick and Mary rarely argued but they sure did know how to play their cards when they did. Lyra was taking in everything she was hearing and was deciding for herself who was right. She was a sweet and kind person, and she had to admit that she didn’t enjoy killing the deer earlier, but in hindsight it was so easy...
Lyra shook her head at the concept, she was smart enough to know that she didn’t have to turn into her parents; she wouldn’t have to become a killer.
Later that day after Nick had cooked the venison for dinner (he was the chef of the house), Lyra had gone to bed and Mary had started washing up, though she was still a little mad at her husband. Nick was drying up and kept glancing between the ruby encrusted gold ring on Mary's hand and the identical one on his, their wedding rings.
After they had finished Mary lent up against the table and sighed, it had been a very long day for all of them. Nick hoped he wasn’t pushing his luck with his next action; he came up behind Mary and smoothed his hand across her stomach while the other ran over her collar, kissing behind her ear.
Mary smirked to herself “You aren’t gonna win me over that easily mister” Nick turned Mary around and sat her up on the table, closing the distance between them as he rested his hands on her waist and moved himself forward so that he was only inches away from her face “Come on darling, you know how much you love me...”
Nick moved his lips to Mary’s neck and kissed her softly; Mary closed her eyes and tilted her head back with a small smile “You have some serious making up to do, dear”
Nick hoisted Mary up around him and kissed her with passion, he pulled away as she wrapped her arms around his neck “I can be very persuasive”
O The next morning
The next morning, Mary woke up using Nick’s shoulder as a pillow with her leg draped over his waist and a hand in his chest. Nick was resting his head on hers and had an arm wrapped around her side; the couple liked cuddling, but if they fell asleep cuddling then they usually separated at some point in the night, this was a rare occasion indeed.
Mary removed herself from the inviting comforts of her husband’s body and their large bed to look outside, much like yesterday the sun was out and the breeze was calm. Nick came up behind Mary and embraced her; she relaxed back into him with a smile “Morning hubby”
Nick smiled and kissed the top of her head “Morning... I’m gonna get some firewood” It was abrupt but Nick hated not having anything to do during the day, he threw on some black pants and leather riding boots and went outside.
Nick had collected a wide selection of logs over the last couple of month and there were a lot to get through, he picked up a sharp axe and started hacking through them. Not even 10 logs in did Nick hear a familiar voice “So this is where you’ve been hiding for the last 10 years”
Nick turned around with a look of anger on his face. The man behind him was about Nick’s height at 6’3, but was of a more slender-athletic build, he had platinum blonde hair that flowed behind his shoulders and silver eyes; he was wearing grey attire consisting of a tunic and slacks. It was Galen.
Nick kept holding the axe as he stared at the smooth face of his younger brother “I thought you were dead...”
Galen smirked “We’re not”
As if on cue, two more people emerged from the woods, a woman and a man. The woman was maybe 6’0 and had dark skin with bright green eyes and braided black hair all over, she was wearing dark slacks and a corset; it was Aleesha. The other man was about the same size as Nick if not slightly bulkier; he had shorter dark brown hair and was wearing a black cape over his shirt and slacks. It was Cormac.
Galen spoke again with his refined American accent “You left us to die brother...”
Nick stood up straight and dropped the axe; he didn’t know what would happen next “Sorry, I’ll remember to actually care about my siblings next time”
Cormac spoke up with a gruff Irish accent “You selfish prick! We fought together, we grew up together, and doesn’t family mean anything to you?”
Nick smirked as his eyes flashed that piercing yellow which signified his growing rage “I have a family inside this house; a wife whom I love dearly and a daughter I never thought I would ever deserve...”
Aleesha spoke up then with her smooth Scottish accent “We don’t have children, Nick; we’re monsters bred for war, we don’t give up and settle down, we fight until our last breath!”
Nick crossed his arms and licked his bottom lip “Well I got bored of it... what’re you 3 doing here anyways?”
Mary and Lyra appeared from behind Nick; Lyra hid behind her Father’s leg and Mary put her hand on his shoulder “Nick who are these people?”
Nick urged Mary backwards with a hand on her stomach “My siblings... Mary take Lyra back inside please?”
Mary looked at Nick with some disbelief “What?”
Nick looked her in the eye and spoke again “Inside now... please”
Mary took Lyra by the shoulders and urged her back inside, but continued standing in the doorway; she wouldn’t be scared off so easily...
Galen moved forwards towards Nick “You have a pretty daughter brother... you should’ve told me I was to become an uncle”
Nick moved towards his brother, the tension could’ve been cut with a line of string it was so tense “What do you want?”
Galen brandished a large scythe made of bone and pointed it towards his brother “The Masters aren’t happy with you-“
Nick knew what the scythe was and in response he punched Galen in the face. Galen stumbled backwards at the blow and rubbed his nose a little afterwards “You’re done!”
In a flash, Cormac and Aleesha ran forward and pinned Nick to ground with their true forms; Nick transformed as well but it was exactly what they wanted. Galen ran the scythe into Nick’s chest and ripped out a spectral image of his true form.
Nick’s body cracked and strained as he was forced back into a human form; the scythe belonged to Death and it could rip a soul from a person’s body easily, without that particular part of his soul, Nick couldn’t achieve his true form.
Mary revealed her true form and got ready to attack, but was instantly met with a harsh punch to the chest from Cormac; she flew backwards into the house and writhed on the floor as she slowly reverted back into a human form, gasping and straining for air.
Lyra was frozen in fear at the sight of her parents being defeated so easily. Meanwhile, Galen ripped out more of Nick’s soul: his intermediate form and his ability to create hellfire.
Afterwards the souls were bottled into small vials, the black and purple liquid inside was calling for Nick in his mind. In its current state, only another Harbinger would be able to drink the liquid without fear of dying, but the Harbingers didn’t need Nick’s power, they took it from him as part of his punishment for abandoning them, now came the next part.
Lyra ran to her Father close to tears, he wasn’t dead but he wasn’t exactly standing up either. Galen snatched Lyra and held her with a tight grip as he and the other’s walked towards a blue portal that had suddenly appeared in front of the house.
Lyra cried out “Daddy!” Nick dragged himself to his feet and stumbled towards the portal with his hand outstretched for Lyra to grab “No, don’t do this! Give me back my daughter god damn it!!”
The portal closed just as Nick reached it, he yelled out in anger “NOOOOOOOO!!!!!”
Thank you Bioshock Infinite for inspiring Nick's final lines of the chapter! I don't know when I'll come back to this story; I have about 5 different fics going atm and while I have the time, I don't have the motivation...
This Fable, this Witch Doctor Yony proved to be a challenge for the fierce werecat Daren. The reanimated corpses that Yony was sending after Daren had some kind of aura surrounding them while their eyes glowed the same color and finger nails became sharper. The first one tried to leap on of him but Daren manage to deliver a strong punch to its face sending flying back towards Yony feet. Ghahhhh
That piece of jewelry you are wearing young man, what is that..?" Yony asked in an uneasy way.
"You sound nervous Yony. You know, I thought my uncle was crazy when told to me to wear this thing with our encounter, and now I learned my lesson. And now you're about to learn a very hard lesson." Daren gripping the charm in his palm.
"That charm is bad juju?" Yony asking while shaking.
"Not quite, it is definitely part of African Witchcraft, but its good magic, something to protect its wielder from good magic, something that will kick your wicked ass." Daren as he begins to decimates hordes reanimate corpses until Yony grows tired and smacks the remainder away with his magic and decides to step in himself. He takes a dramatic stance unleash all of his power while reciting something in an African language. Hells hek , oop en decimeren!!
Man while, Cindy manage to make it to the exit of the building with the girls and as they all exit, they are cornered by Yony's henchmen once more. "Shit" Cindy shouted in frustration right when she thought she was in the clear and begins to reload her handgun then out of the blue, literally, a storm of arrows rained down on from the roof tops. They manage to stop all the henchman and severely injuring them.
Cindy look up and notice two young men, waving. One was dressed in a red hoodie and the other in a green one. They climb down and greeted her while the one in red took Cindy hand and gave it a slight kiss asking him she was alright.
"Umm, thank you..?"She said, flattered.
"Sorry mam, excuse my brother Walter, he takes after our father and his romantic side. My name is Robby, and my I ask why you were atacked by these men?" Robby asked in a serious voice.
"The Green Arrow just saved me.... Oh right, I think I know who you are. A few years ago I Bigby asked me to find you and free you from prison so you could stop that Redd guy. You both grown..." Cindy rubbing her chin.
"I think I remember you too, as Redd he turned to the good sight now. Now longer wants to strangle Bigby or kill Fabletown residents.. Hey where are you going?! Wait!!!" Robby trying to go after them.
Cindy and there girls get onto an empty public city bus and she starts the engine. She yells out the window and tells both Robby and Walter to save Daren he could be in serious trouble then drives off with the girl to safety.
Robby and Walter then enters the cautiously building..
Inside Daren is being overwhelmed by Yony's magic even as he wears his uncle charm which protect him from evil magic. He isn't being fatally harmed..just tossed around like a rag doll.
Foosh! Throp! Crash!
"Young man, this can go on forever? You won't be getting anywhere just setting there. Why don't you take off that charm and we handle this like men?!" Yony insisting.
Daren takes a breath and gets up on one knee and looks at Yony and laughs "You must be fuc--" then is thrown across the room again.
Robby and Walter enters and immediately noticed Yony and Daren's fight. "Walter look a witch doctor.. Never scene one in person before... We should of brought Lydia with us for this one." Robby observing.
"Well, she is here in spirit..." Walter pulling out three arrows engulfed in light and hands one to Robby.
"Where..? You could of told me that you had these and I could of used one to clear out that whole alley earlier Walter. "
"That would of been an utter waste Robby, now quickly. Lets end this now before that guy kills Daren."
The two both armed their bow with an arrow and aim it at Yony but then Robby thought to himself that two of these could kill Yony. He was'nt here to kill anyone, so he aloud Walter to fire just the one. It zooms across the nightclub and makes a direct hit on Yony which he scream in utter agony and falls to the ground and shivers.
Daren gets up and notices Robby and Walter and thanks them before going to to Yony and finish him off. He his neutral werecat form and continues to move in for the kill.
"Fabletown couldn't stop my operations, the Mundies couldn't stop them and most certainly...YOU WON'T YOUNG MAN!" Yony as he get up and turns into a strange bird and flies away.
Daren decides not to go after him knowing that the man who nearly destroyed his family is getting away into the dark blue sky. He knows this isn't the last time he would see Yony again, and it will be the LAST. The mission is complete, the girls that Yony kept hostage are rescued and the rest of his operation are stopped, for now.
Daren returns home to his castle in the Homelands from his vacation and decide not to pick up the bottle of vodka and have a drink. Instead he goes upstairs to his bedroom and climbs into the bed with his wife. She is surprised to see him home this early. Daren is silent for a brief moment then begins to tightly hug his wife and whispers "Everything is going to be fine.. No one will hurt this family again... never again..". He he passes on the bed and takes a long nap.....
End..
Another story completed. Now I am nearly ready to begin my work on my Fable Avenegers sequel.. I think i'm going to provide a preview and prologue beforehand. Maybe some kind of timeline in order that all leads up this this since it is going impact a lot of the characters I created..but I won't spoil it here. And I need to prepare for my flight...
Emily and Lyla sat across from each other; she was finishing the last few bits from her hamburger and nibbling on three fries. Lyla was rather consumed with the recent changes in both apperance and behavior in her daughter. She glanced down at her petruding belly and had to swallow back the emotions.
Lyla never pictured Emily a mother. The wishful thinking was there, just like any other mother. Lyla desperatly wanted Emily's 'phase' to vanish and turn its ugly head back to the depths of hell. It worried her, however, when the Witch's prophecy for her daughter was unfolding before her very eyes.:
"You will give birth to a daughter much like her father. The darkness that once consumed his soul will be passed on to her. She will become the next Georgie Porgie of Fabletown."
At first glance, Lyla did not see the wicked ways Georgie once possesed; Emily was a kind soul, outspoken and engergetic as a child. Not a single ounce of hatred or desire to gather power into her own hands was shown as Emily grew. But the Witches were indeed right about one thing: Emily was born with remaining darkness that once occupied the body of her father. On her thirteenth birthday, something drastically changed in her daughter; she had the appetite to be like her father, own the Pudding n' Pie and develop fear into the hearts of so many.
Before long, her precious baby girl was slipping into the shadows and further away from her grasp. Lyla and Georgie hopelessly tried to remove their daughter from the clutches of evil but it only made the situation worse and caused Emily to push back. With a heavy heart, they both knew what had to be done: allow Emily to stumble, fall and lose her way until she wanted a change and become free once more.
"For only a soul much lost as herself can take her hand and guide towards the light. Together, they shall become one forever."
Lyla looked over at Gren and Georgie; little did she know the man who was once a tenant to so many bars and alcohol bottles would be her Emily's guiding light to a world only she would ever dream about. But Lyla was not surprised; after all, Gren and Emily had a special bond the moment he held her close in his arms. Gren adored Emily and would stop at nothing to make that little girl smile. Even as she aged, Lyla began to sense the change in feelings from both parties. Gren saved her Emily.
Now, sitting in the tiny apartment with her very pregnant daughter, Emily seemed content and satisfied with the world she lived in. Her hair that was once pulled back gently rested along her shoulders and back. The Bowler hat was gone (something she'd eventually get used to) and even her clothes had a more casual apperance.
"You look very beautiful, Emily."
"Thanks mum." Emily shoves the rest of the food into her mouth. "I like it, too. Gren bloody seems ta' LOVE when me hair is down."
Lyla continues to stare at her belly. "So, your very own set of quads."
"Yup. Three girls and one boy. From what Swineheart could tell, one Grendel, a Wolf and the other two regular 'ol Fables."
"Well, that we know OF. Penelope didn't show her Wolf side until she was about three months old. I go in there to bathe you girls and I find a bundle of fluff in the bassinet, sucking on her thumb."
Emily chuckles. "Well, I'll know if that eva' happens. If not, I'm just bloody happy they are all healthy."
Lyla pats Emily's hand. "That's all you need to know, sweetie. The name are beautiful. Your nana will be pleased to hear them, especially Chloe."
"How are nana and papa doing?"
"Ready to spoil more babies. They just came back from their trip up North and when I told them you and Grendel were expecting four little ones, I nearly became deaf while on the phone with your grandmother."
"Nana has always loved babies, though."
Lyla chuckles. "An excuse to bake, bake and bake some more."
While the women discussed baking and the babies, Georgie and Gren shared a cigarette and Beer on the porch. The tiny square cemented little section overlooked the city streets and buildings all around them. Georgie leaned his elbows along the edges to get a better look.
"Seen this fookin' city a bloody million times but fa' some reason today, it all looks so fookin' different."
"Maybe its because of the news inside."
Georgie sighed. "Ya' saved me Emily, Grendel. I neva' thought in a million bloody years you'd be the one ta' do it..."
"I've always loved Emily and knew she was fucking capable of more than what those Witches told you both. MY Emily was going to be more than just another name in the books."
"I blamed meself fa' so long when the Witch told her mother and I that-Georgie Junior was blessed with me good side and Emily born with the dark, twisted, fooked up side."
"Ya' can't go blaming yourself, Georgie. You and Lyla were fucking wonderful parents to those kids."
"I don't know, Gren...." Georgie exhales a cloud of smoke. "Sometimes I wonder if any of it actually mattered in the end."
"Well, I THINK so. You did a fucking wonderful job with those kids. You loved them....something you sadly were never exposed to."
Georgie hangs his head low. "I did fa' awhile. Me mother loved me but....things changed. People changed..."
Gren takes a long gulp from his Beer. "Amen to that, Porgie. I hear ya'...my own father was such a fucking prick to us. I can't remember a fucking time when he even TRIED making a relationship with his kids. I always feared I'd be JUST like that to my own. Even after all the lies and fucking bullshit with Carla and the horrible truth, I still love those kids. Now, I have four brand news babies...."
"Ya' are a wonderful fookin father, Grendel."
Gren pats Georgie's back. "You ain't so fucking bad yourself, Porgie."
"Sorry...." Georgie flicked the burning end into a nearby empty can. "Fa'....everything."
Gren knew what Georgie was trying to hint at. The beast closed his eyes, inhaled the smoke and with his eyes open, exhaled the thick cloud. He and Georgie had their issues; Gren wanted nothing more than to see Georgie either tossed down the Witching Well or hung before his very eyes. The hatred he felt for the former pimp and all the hurt he caused during the Crooked Man's reign of terror. But he'd have to wish that upon everyone that was involved. Gren had no right, when he himself was not a saint both here and back in the Homelands.
"Don't worry 'bout all that shit, Georgie." Gren sips from his beer. "It's all in the past now. Besides, I wouldn't have my Emily...."
Georgie sighs heavily. "Me Emily is something special, Gren. I trust ya' to fookin' take care of her and me grand babies."
"You know I will, Porgie."
Georgie nods. "So, that fookin' cave thing ya' do....does she know 'bout that?"
"She does." Gren chuckles. "She's not looking forward to it. The thought of sleeping in twigs, moss and grass."
"Well, when did ya' plan on taking her out there?"
"Two months before she is due. This way, gives her body a chance to relax and the baby to allow the cocoon the ability to soften up."
"Now, that cocoon things-the bloody fook is up with that?"
"Come on, grandpa. Thought you were reading up on your grand babies?"
Georgie kicks Gren in the shin. "I WAS readin' it, Gren. I just want ta' hear it from YOU."
"Well, it protects the mother. Since she's carrying a male, they have spikes along their legs and shoulders that can do some serious damage. If it was a girl, the'd have no spike development but still surrounded by a cocoon. This always keeps the vital nutrition required for the proper development. Since there all multiples, certain foods like Moss and spring water will go to that baby."
"Will Emily be in a lot of pain?"
"No more than any expecting mother. The Grendel baby will release a sort of epidural, allowing her body to relax and force the Grendel baby out first. The cocoon will also act as a sort of lubricant for an easier birth."
Georgie's eyes were wide, looking out across and down the streets. Gren chuckled.
"Don't worry, Georgie. She's a trooper, my Emily."
"She is that bloody stubborn daughter of mine."
Gren sighs. "No one in this whole fucked up world mattered to me more than the little girl in the Bowler hat. What she means to me, no matter how much I describe, can ever truly be explained. I never knew something so beautiful existed in this world. She came into my life when I needed it the fucking most."
"Same fa' ya', Gren. Ya' helped her grow. Ya' changed her...fa' the good. Thank ya'...."
Gren smiles. "No....thank you, Porgie."
Georgie pauses to wipe away a tear. "Oh fook. Look at me. A bloody mess."
Gren continues to pat Georgie on the back. "You and me both, Porgie...."
The men finished their cigarettes and Beers. Tossing the bottles into the trash, they return to the women inside the apartment.
"Now, 'bout the house. Have ya' told her yet?"
"Leaving THAT as a surprise. Plus, Peter wanted to tell her. Gift to his neices and nephew."
Georgie beams. "Well, than my bloody mouth is shut."
Emily had no idea but it would stay that way. Gren knew she'd love the surprise.
Well, I'm hoping its nothing too serious, considering Vivian has pretty much become a huge part in Emily's life. You mentioned something funny going to happen with her and one of the babies. xD Looking forward to that!
Can you imagine giving birth to a son and Bloody Mary claiming him without you knowing? I can understand why Georgie was so hell bent on stopping their relationship. But knowing he allows them, it warms my heart. He'd be doing th same thing John did. So, what IS the prophecy for the kids? Also, how awkward would that be in class or dinner if Mary was around. XD
You have every right to think that way, considering Vivian (along with the expecting parents) are the most excited to see these babies. (Oh … moreand Georgie and Lyla of course) She has her reasons and I'll explain more as the story goes on.
Also, as you've seen, his eyes change colors when she's … [view original content]
"And at last I see the light and its like the fog has lifted. And at last I see the light and its like the sky is new. And its warm and real and bright and the world and the world has some how shifted. Alll at once, everything is different, now that I see you."
^^Think of Gren and Emily each time. I these two to no end.
So, Georgie Junior was born with the innocence Georgie once had and Emily the dark side he possesed? How insane is that....its rather interesting. THINK you mentioned this in your 1st story.
Also, I love the moment between Gren and Georgie. It makes me happy knowing they are becoming friends and respect one another for the sake of Emily and the kids. And Peter built them a house?!
"It's nice seeing your hair down, Emily."

Robert and Jersey are not the best of friends, then; but, in the past, did Jersey have any friends? I don't think he particularly got on with anyone in the CM's organisation. Poor Lyla, having to deal with both the pregnancy and the Folkers' totalitarian regime.

Yeah, I don't think they're at all global. Appreciate the recommendation, but we don't have AT&T over here. Give it long enough and there'll probably be some company that decides it wants to control the world's internet connections and capabilities (if there isn't one already). :P
(for reasons that I could go into but won't in case you won't have seen what I'd be referencing, that comment totally reminds me of Doctor Who Cybermen xD)
Never heard of it, I'm gong to assume it's a company that provides for the UK only. Besides, I was going to recommend having AT&T as you… morer service provider, but I'm not entirely sure if they're available over there. :P
(and yeah, what will life be without the internet??? it's seriously like our lord and savior)
Hey everyone just wanted to let you know that I will not be posting any new parts this week due to me starting classes to make sure I am on … moretop everything so I don't take another spill again haha! I will be checking here though to read while on my way to classes though so make sure you guys are still posting all your awesome stories!
Bella's determination and resourcefulness - and her clear skills at shanking people - are rather brilliant, and I particularly like her deep royal purple coloured hair.
Charles certainly has a rude awakening coming for him!
"Jian-min?" Ava's voice came out to a soft whisper. She nearly buckled at the knees when she realized that she could have just possibly kill… moreed him.
The girls jumps out of the way of the splatter, and were lucky not … [view original content]
Thanks Lupine! It's probably the only good or smart decision I've made in my life XD. I actually (I can't believe I'm saying this I swore I never would XD) am really glad to be back, I actually missed doing school work.
It is the smart man who makes the decision, the determined man who sees the decision through, and the wise man who seeks the best from it.
I don't know if that helps at all, but they say it's the thought that counts. :P Either way, you should be proud of yourself for going back and continuing.

Yeah I can relate in some ways where it was a place to be but when I was in middle school till my final days of my senior year in high school I had absolutely no friends at all lol. I'm sorry Hazza I didn't mean to depress you
I have no problem with admitting that I miss school as well...
It meant I had something to go to throughout the week, all my friends were in one place etc.
I miss school

"Jian-min?" Ava's voice came out to a soft whisper. She nearly buckled at the knees when she realized that she could have just possibly killed him.
Bellatrix huffed impatiently. "Seriously? You made us hide in here and it ended up being someone you knew?"

True Colin although he seems smart but pretty dense at the same time The Brannigan part will be interesting same XD probably why she's the easiest character to write dialogue for for me
I plan on doing that but with Emily, the experience is a lot more comical; she'll go along with it because she has to but that does not mean she has to like it. XD Glad the dry sense of humor worked and the picture was adorable. I too am pleased with the names. As we get closer to the births, more pics and descriptions of each kid.
(assuming you already went when you read this)
Hopefully it will but for right now, the gif war shall be on hold until further notice. Would hate to drain all your data all because of someone eating cake or something silly. XD
I'm currently on chapter 8 as of right now, will read more later.
And that's cool with the whole "controlling the horse during a fight" thing. However, Nick letting the horse do its thing during downtime seems... awkward - like, really awkward.
Haha, how oddly intriguing! Well, let's just hope that Ava keeps out of their way from now on. XD
Good, if you did somehow mess up again, I would've had no choice but to steal Harmony's diary and share it with all of Fabletown! Muahahaha!
Couldn't leave more reviews could you plz??
When you put it that way it does seem kinda weird, but like I said he can get control of it whenever he wants to and he rarely uses his true form anyways :P
Never heard of it, I'm gong to assume it's a company that provides for the UK only. Besides, I was going to recommend having AT&T as your service provider, but I'm not entirely sure if they're available over there. :P
(and yeah, what will life be without the internet??? it's seriously like our lord and savior)
I could, but you have a good amount of reviews/comments on there already, as well as my one comment so far. (shouldn't you be satisfied enough?) Besides, not trying to be mean, but you constantly asking for reviews is getting to be pretty annoying.
Fair enough I will stop.
Hey everyone just wanted to let you know that I will not be posting any new parts this week due to me starting classes to make sure I am on top everything so I don't take another spill again haha! I will be checking here though to read while on my way to classes though so make sure you guys are still posting all your awesome stories!
Good luck Tetra. See you around! XD
Good luck man! (all I can say really, the rest is up to you!)
Thanks Hazza I'll see you around as well!
Thanks Dragon this semester (from what I've seen so far) will be a lot easier than last semester so I have hopes!
Darens Bad Juju, Finale
"It's nice seeing your hair down, Emily."
Any questions, you know the drill.
XD
Robert and Jersey are not the best of friends, then; but, in the past, did Jersey have any friends? I don't think he particularly got on with anyone in the CM's organisation. Poor Lyla, having to deal with both the pregnancy and the Folkers' totalitarian regime.
Appreciated; though, at least it would be an entertaining way to lose it. XD
That's probably a good decision to make. Enjoy it - if you can!
Bella's determination and resourcefulness - and her clear skills at shanking people - are rather brilliant, and I particularly like her deep royal purple coloured hair.
Charles certainly has a rude awakening coming for him!
I have no problem with admitting that I miss school as well...
It meant I had something to go to throughout the week, all my friends were in one place etc.
I miss school
Wow I literally don't know how to respond to that except wow and thanks!
Yeah I can relate in some ways where it was a place to be but when I was in middle school till my final days of my senior year in high school I had absolutely no friends at all lol. I'm sorry Hazza I didn't mean to depress you
I'm not depressed :P
I just reminisce from time to time
Ah okay good I thought I caused sadness so I felt bad XD
