Season 1 Hanging on start screen

Game opens up and as soon as I click a button it just hangs. The website banner at the top continues to move, I can still here them birds chirping in the background but the game isn't starting.

Before I started it I got an error message for missing d3dx9)41 so i installed the directx redist and the game started, i put in my telltale account info and now this.
