Episode 2 - 'A House Divided' for PS3 EU - AVAILABLE NOW
UPDATE: Episode 2 is now available for PS3 via the PlayStation EU store.
UPDATE: Episode 2 will be available for PS3 via the PlayStation EU store on Wednesday, March 12.
We are aware that people in Europe are keenly awaiting The Walking Dead: Season Two Episode 2 - A House Divided on PlayStation 3. Our goal is always to get our content out across all platforms as close together as possible, especially because we want you to be able to enjoy the story spoiler free.
Some folks may not know this, but the submission and release schedule for Sony is actually entirely separate for the U.S. PSN store and the European PSN store, which is why release dates sometimes don't line up exactly between them. We appreciate your patience as we work with our partners at Sony to get Episode 2 to our European fans as soon as we can. We'll be able to announce a release date as soon as we have one confirmed - it shouldn't be too far away now at all.
The best way to avoid spoilers while watching for the release date is to look for it on the PlayStationEU Twitter feed.
Thanks again to our European PS3 players for your patience, and hang in there - we'll have you joining in on the next installment in Clem's journey as soon as possible!

Are reports of a QA issue false then? And, to be quite honest, I think people are pretty tired of hearing these vague approximations of "shouldn't be too far away now", "as soon as possible" and "as soon as we can"
Does this mean this week? Next week? Longer? And, as far as I can make out, this isn't the first time Telltale have run into problems getting episodes out on the EU PSN - have you not learnt from these mistakes? Most importantly of all for PS3 users in the EU, will this be a consistent problem? Should we expect to always get our episodes much later than other platforms?
Spoiler free.. yeah right. I wish.
From my experience at least a week delay due to SONY FUCKING UP
I hope we get it this week, there's so many obnoxious people posting spoilers.
Yeah, can you provide a more specific definition of "soon"? Days? Weeks?
I don't understand why ep1 of s2 came out fine yet playstation EU are the only ones not to have at least some idea of when it's coming out what's changed? I understand their different from the PSN NA but it's worked before why not now ?
This is better than silence, although not by very much at this point. Sometimes it just feels unfair for some to have the same content before the others for unexplained reasons. The more a person rages for this, the more they probably love the series. XD
Well, at least he didn't say the release was "around the corner" if you know what I mean. insert trollface here
As far as the EU are conserned this is silence. Why not us basically, just the normal "coming soon" or what ever the new phrase is this time.
And that's why you should give the game to PSN EU WAY before US. I thought you learned that by now....Guess I was wrong.... and "it shouldn't be too far away now at all." means at least a week 'cuse the EU store doesn't update until next wednesday...
Puzzlebox is a she. Just so you know.
If I remember correctly didn't sony specially add a S1 walking dead episode a few days before they updated the whole store!? I think it was the second episode
? History repeats itself?
I am seriously thinking about just watching a playthrough online because it's the story and not the gameplay I am interested in... save me a few quid and lose them sales!
(Rightly so Imo)
You should probably ban me for even thinking of this but I have to share it. Is she called Puzzlebox because her "box" is... A puzzle? Listen, just ban me. It's probably for the best anyway.
I'm very disappointed by this. It feels like the PS3 players, particularly in Europe, are second-class gamers. Is it too much too ask, that we get the same service as others, since we paid the same amount of money (actually we paid more) for this product?
Groan, it shouldn't be too far away now. Heard that before. It's the Telltale slogan nowadays.
Really can't understand why you didn't tell us this a few days ago anyway. Rather than wait until literally the 11th hour to tell us. Surely you would know the trouble PS3 EU was in with the QA?
I was so excited about this but its just turned into total disappointment. obviously wasted my money buying a season pass (which cost more money than anywere else in the world) because i've already had THE main cliffhanger spoiled. Guess ill have to go and watch a play through on youtube so i can see the story before any more of it gets spoiled. for a story based game it should surely be released everywere simultaneously? i hope this is sorted for when in harms way comes out. very disappointing situation.
The likely reason why Telltale didn't make an announcement before today is because they were hoping for a last minute announcement of a last minute release date for PSN EU. The big console manufacturers are the ones who set the release dates on their platforms, and they only release a certain amount of games per week, and only on certain days. A last minute release announcement has happened before, as Microsoft and Sony didn't release their release dates until the day before release for The Walking Dead Season Two episode one.
Since PSN EU only releases games on Wednesdays, and The Walking Dead Season Two episode two wasn't part of it, it only became clear that PSN EU wasn't getting a day after release (like the first episode) when the PSN EU releases went live without episode two as a part of it. At this point, Telltale can't announce anything other than soon, because even they don't have a release date.
I know it's a rotten system, and I wish that the big console manufacturers would get with the times and let digital publishers set their own release dates on their consoles, but until they do, unfortunately the release dates on consoles really are out of Telltale's control.

Summary of the text of puzzlebox: Coming Soon
I paid for the season pass when episode 1 came out so I do expect episode 2 to be released on the same day as other platforms in the EU. I don't think it's fair for us PS3 gamers in Europe to have to wait after everyone else already has it. It's gonna be hard not to see spoilers as they are plastered everywhere. I am really disappointed with this, I was hoping to have played it by now. Hope we don't have to wait much longer or people are gonna get really annoyed. I also hope this doesn't happen with future episodes.

Let's not discuss piracy here please. Even jokingly.
It's been such a long wait this time as it is, so imagine my disappointment when I noticed a patch had been applied to my Walking Dead Season 2, making me think episode 2 was finally ready... Just so long as it's worth the wait then all is forgiven. I felt supremely cheated after waiting for Wolf Among Us ep2, only to be left with a super short episode that still felt a little unpolished. With the success of Walking Dead, I'd have expected Telltale to hire more staff and maybe step production up a little, but if anything it feels like it's grinding down to a bit of a halt
I'm sorry, I will buy versions pc, mac, xbox, ps3 USA to see if I can play the episode. Better not to joke about piracy. Better pay and shut up.
I said the truth about telltale: Pay and shut up. And whats the reaction of Telltale? "Your Comment Has Been Flagged as Offensive". Good work telltale, good work. I doesnt buy a telltale product anymore. He ruined the season pass, again.
Thanks Jennifer for your post. At least I now know that it will be next Wednesday at the earliest. Means that I don't have to keep looking on here for news, and risk seeing spoilers (one of which, I have already seen sadly :-(
I don't think I could wait another week.
Very annoying. PS3 always getting screwed over by Telltale.
I think that you mods do a great job, informing us and giving us info about all the delays and hickups. But I cant understand TTg stance on Information flow! I experience this the first time, as I discovered this gem of a game only a few months ago, but what I've seen with the release of ep2 is just ridicolous! I think that most people on these Forums bought the Season Pass and in my opinion, the fans have a right, to be kept in the loop. Sometimes it seems, as if TTG trolls their fanbase!
I give them the benefit of a doubt, but if this keeps up, I think TTG plays jeopardy with their fanbase!
Just keep us in the loop, and if you cant give out hard dates, maybe give us a release window or a calendar week day or something like that! If you know, that it won't release this week, TELL US°! It can't be that hard!
The thing is, Telltale's PR person @puzzlebox has clarified that they can't announce any dates ahead of time because they have to wait to get the release dates from their distribution partners. Sony Europe hasn't given them any indication on when the game will be released in Europe, so Telltale can't give a release window. They were hoping for this week, but Sony Europe didn't give them a release this week, so now they'll be hoping for next week, and will continue to do so (right along with the fans) until the point that Sony Europe tells them that The Walking Dead Season Two episode 2 will be part of the European PSN lineup (which judging by past announcements by Sony Europe, probably won't be up until a day or two before release).
It all stems from the fact that the big console manufacturers are still stuck in the traditional console mindset of when developers sent builds to the console manufacturer, were put through an approval process, and then the release date was set that the cartridges or optical media would be sent to retail. The thing is though, the console manufacturers don't yet get that this is a really antiquated process when it comes to digital releases, and not giving the digital publisher the ability to set release dates themselves actually hinders things dramatically, both for the developer/publisher and for the consumer.
The distribution methods on computers don't have this restriction, and since Steam is growing as a direct competitor, hopefully this antiquated process can finally be put to rest for good within the next few console lifespans.
Now lets just hope it will come out next week....
Thanks for the reply Jennifer! This all makes sense and its an unfortunate situation, but why do we have to get these informations from you? Somebody who volunteers, doesnt get any of the money, we fans already spent on the Season Pass!
Why doesnt Telltale feel the urge, to keep their fans in the loop? Why do volunteers have to bear with all the hate, scorn and impatient fans?
Might skip this episode and watch yogcast lets play.. the story is what interest me.. the actual gameplay of twd/twau is pretty buggy and not always great..
Looks like you lost my money for this ep unless it comes out before the weekend
This would make sense if the game had been delayed on ALL consoles. It hasn't been. Just one console in one region (the region that just so happens to pay the highest price for the game, but hey-ho). I don't doubt what you're saying is true Jennifer, but the fact of the matter is that Telltale are a huge company. They're not some poor little guys who are at the mercy of big bad Sony. Therefore, why don't they have better process management? If they were anticipating this problem with Sony, why didn't they do something about it? More detailed negotiations regarding timespans? Getting a better idea of when Sony would have more leeway in terms of releasing the game? They've clearly managed to do something about it with Sony in North America, and Microsoft Worldwide - what is so special about these "big console manufacturers" when compared to Sony in the EU? In fact, the release dates for these consoles were announced last week. Like other people have said, given the predilection of some goons on the internet of spoiling it for everyone else, release dates within a few days of each other should be an absolute priority for Telltale, wouldn't you think? If they didn't have confirmation from Sony EU, would it not have been fair to delay the others as well? Ah, but now we get to the real nub of the issue. Telltale have backed themselves into somewhat of a corner, because instead of taking 4-6 weeks for this episode to be released, it's taken them nearly 12, and I assume that once the game was ready, they wanted to get it out ASAP, which has inevitably lead to an almighty scramble trying to confirm release dates for each console/OS.
This is disgraceful. I bought the season pass, full price, the second it became available, so i expect to get the episodes as soon as everyone else. You cant just delay it for no reason, when other PSN titles have popped up simultaneously in the US and Europe. Just LAST EPISODE, we only had to wait ONE DAY and that was fine, that's normal, but this is just awful management on your part. I'm seriously losing faith and respect in Telltale as a developer...
It's on the EU Xbox too! What the hell?!? >:(
From now on i'm gonna wait for the season passes to go on sale, because on top of dealing with delays BETWEEN episodes (which is annoying enough), now we also have to deal with delays in Europe!!! We always gets screwed over when it comes to games, it's like we're second class citizens.
And good luck staying clear of spoilers. It's almost impossible nowadays unless you avoid the internet entirely.
If not i'm gonna ask for my money back. This is a complete joke. (A BAD ONE)
Oh we know. I was hoping you did too by now so you wouldn't have this problem!
Well, this is it for me. I'm not buying a telltale game ever again... I have to play through S2 as I've already payed for it, but after that I'm done with this "company".
top quality games that I enjoy more than anything, but yes, this is ridiculous... Better step your game up Telltale, or more people will follow good old Bob here.
@Telltale for episode 3 will you submit it earlier than usual for PS3 users in europe,as it takes a week to show up on PSN. i keep checking the store out every hour now
