Save file from season 1 for season 2

Hey,
just registered and wanted to ask how importing a save file from season one (or 300 days) works for season 2.
I have multiple save files from season 1.
How do I get to decide which one is used for season 2?
And what about 300 days. Is that game even relevant for season 2?

Yes you do get to choose which save file you use and yes it is relevant of season 2
