Very poor frame rate

I had already purchased the game prior to updating my iPad to iOS 7.1 two days ago; Today I decided to stop waiting and play season 2 and the game is very laggy with very poor fps. I restarted 3 times and even restarted my device but nothing changed. Anyone having this issue?

Please close the game and all other applications running in the background. This should free up necessary system resources. (To close an app running in the background on iOS 6 and before: double tap the home button to make all running apps appear at the bottom of the screen, hold down on an app you wish to close and red buttons will appear, tap the red buttons to close the apps. If on iOS 7, double tap the home button and swipe up on the open apps to close them) Also, please turn off your iOS device for at least three minutes before attempting to play the game again. This will allow the device’s cache to clear. Then try starting the game application again.

  • Thank you for the response. I typically only run 1-2 apps at a time and left the iPad off for 5 minutes. Unfortunately, no results. Still very choppy.

My apologies, any minor hitching during loading or autosaves may be observed within the game, but any major lagging or freezing is abnormal. If you can, could you please clarify which scenes in particular are showing low framerates?

  • After the initial splash screens, once as the main menu is loading, the resources tank. Going in and our of main menu screens and all the animations within them are very choppy. The river on the main menu is always the dead give away. I have started the story a couple times now and every single second of it is like this so I quit, as I don't want to miss a beat of this awesome story. I can't wait to dig into it, I already paid for the whole season! I have to patience of a saint so no worries. Thanks again Mike.

  • Oh, and for what its worth, the audio is flawless; Just the video is problematic.

  • I've waited 5 months now and decided just to give this game a go, hoping that maybe there was just a problem with the very beginning of the game. I played through the intro last night, mostly still very laggy and jerky. Ok, fine. This is still continued on after the intro but I bare it and press on. Now, at the point where directional decisions must quickly be made to survive, the lagging is so bad that my directions cannot be recognized (or even fast enough) that I'm being killed over and over.

I was holding out to see if maybe any updates or patches might ever be released but no. Am I still the only one having this issue? This is now my 2nd brand new iPad Air but nothing is any different.

My apologies, unfortunately other than making sure to close any and all applications running in the background, and turning off your device for 5-10 minutes to allow the device's cache to clear, I am out of potential solutions to resolve your issue. Any minor hitching may be experienced during loading and autosave sequences, but any major hitching or lagging is unusual. If you can, could you please take a video of what you are experiencing, and I will be able to pass it along to the team for further investigation.

I apologize for the inconvenience, depending on the location, the episode may not have yet been available. If you have not tried recently, please close the game and all other applications running in the background. This should free up necessary system resources. (To close an app running in the background on iOS 6 and before: double tap the home button to make all running apps appear at the bottom of the screen, hold down on an app you wish to close and red buttons will appear, tap the red buttons to close the apps. This will allow the device’s cache to clear.

Then after restarting your device, please reset the WiFi by turning the WiFi Settings Off, and back On again. Then try starting the game application again, and see if you are able to successfully download the episode.
