Choices did not carry over (mac)

I am playing episode 4 and on the previously on walking dead it had different choices from episode 3. I read that sometimes the recap can have the wrong choices and kept playing, then it referenced a previous choice but it was the wrong one. How do I fix it so the correct choices carry on?

    I apologize for the inconvenience. Please rename the prefs.prop file in

    /Users/dakotawise/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/The Walking Dead/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/WalkingDead103/

    to prefs.prop.bak and then restart the game, and you saves/choices should then be correct.

    I renamed the file, but it deleted my save file. Anyway to get it back?

    If my first suggestion did not work, please try taking the file that you renamed to prefs.prop.bak from

    /Users/dakotawise/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/The Walking Dead/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/WalkingDead103/

    and place it into your file directory at

    /Users/dakotawise/Library/Application Support/Telltale Games/TheWalkingDead/

    Before doing this, please back up the prefs.prop file currently in there, as it will overwrite that file once you rename the prefs.prop.bak file to prefs.prop. Then start the game, and see if you are able to continue your saves then.
