Final Quick Time Event

can you beat bloody mary in the quick time event during the final scene? no matter how much i press Q i can't do it. is this intentional or is it just really hard?

    Considering I managed to keep the meter filled and it did nothing, I'm going to say it's intentional.

    Also, I'm changing the title of the thread to avoid the Bloody Mary 'spoiler'. Hope you don't mind.

    I filled up the button to the end, but you can't actually win
