What did you do about Greenleaf?
A little bit of backstory since it seems most people skip reading the fable entries....
The little girl was real at some point, as you'll have seen if you have the habit of reading fable entries on the characters.
Auntie Greenleaf's profile states she had a daughter once, whom she lost during all the chaos was that going on when they were moving to the real world. It also says that she became depressive and reclusive as a result of that event.
Greenleaf was glamouring to look like her dead child. It's pretty depressing, if you ask me.
I feel really bad for Greenleaf :[
I'm glad we could hire her as an official witch. She gives Bigby a genuine smile when they turn to leave if you do that.
And come on, her profile says she's a total animal lover. How can she possibly truly be evil?
Burning her tree seems so cruel after you know her story...

Change the title (spoiler)
Yes, I did the same as you did Pride. I felt a little bad and I didn't want to ruin her life any further. I hired her and I hope it works out later in the game. I also played on another file and tried the other option of burning the tree and it didn't feel good haha. Even though she was selling illegal glamours, she was also helping the fables who couldn't afford them so she can't be all that bad and plus with the other witches watching her I hope she turns out to be good.
How do you hire her?
I feel that a random name is less spoilerific than saying she's a witch
People won't know what she is just by glancing at a name if they haven't played it
Or would you rather I named it "What did you do about the witch?"
Be nice to her when's glamoured, say "Wait, a witch on our side could be useful" to Snow when it comes up, and then finally at the end pick "I'm hiring you today."
The option to hire her only appears under certain conditions
Oh I remember that dialogue point, interpretted it as something different though, ffs ttg
Maybe: "What did you do about AG?"
I hired her, too. Good intentions or not, I couldn't let her continue, yet I couldn't bring myself to destroy her source of income and family heirloom. It seemed like the most balanced decision. I feel Snow was getting emotion get the best out of her. Greenleaf had been providing Crane his glamours to live his fantasies, but that was more on Crane than on her.
I knew I gas going to piss someone off, so let's piss off BOTH!
I didn't burn down her tree because she had told me all I needed to know and I didn't feel like making her already miserable life any more miserable when she hasn't intentionally hurt anyone. And while I don't exactly approve of her bootleg glamours, they aren't technically illegal and if her services are really helping out other Fables who can't afford "official" glamours, I'm willing to look the other way until Snow can improve the infrastructure in place.
I also didn't hire her, though, because when I initially proposed the idea, she didn't seem to be on board and I didn't feel like imposing. Besides, it might help to have a witch that I know of outside of the system to call on for a few favors here and there.
Spared the Tree. She was just another victim of the War and Fall of the Homelands and, like so many other Fables, was just trying to get by in a world/story that, as she puts it, pretty much blows most of the time (paraphrasing). Like everyone else, I hired her. Considering that the new deadly baddie is an Urban Legend with a strange, mystical origin and natural defenses against Magic, something tells me an off the books nature Witch might come in handy.
