Comic book question, spoilers requested.
I may actually buy these comics and I'm afraid to go onto a wiki and read the answer for myself and spoil way more than I need.
Just a simple Colin question, is he around in the comics? I know the game here is a prequel, but is Colin around in the comics like Snow is? I haven't had a chance to play Ep 3 yet, I'm stuck replaying 1 and 2 because my hard drive with my save on it failed, be gentle and avoid anything from that if you can.

Yes, but he is not around for a while.http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Colin_(Fables)
Thanks. Colin is my #1 suspect now.
Why would he be your suspect if he's in the comics? I'm 99% certain the killer will die in TWAU
Can someone tell me how many issues there currently are and how often they release? Are they done yet? I want to start reading these as well but I want to know what I'm getting into first. Also, when was the newest one released and when's the next one?
You make a really compelling point it's something I thought about, but I get a real noir like feel to this story and there's not always a satisfying end to that kind of genre of story telling. More often than not things don't always work out like they usually do in the Hollywood way we wish they would.
A twist ending where the killer get's away with it in some fashion wouldn't surprise me and that's what I'm leaning on.
Looks like they have released up through issue #139. According to the Vertigo website #140 is coming on May 7th. That's just the main series. There are a couple of spin-offs. Willingham said he will end the series at issue #150.

The trades are available on various sites like Amazon and in most bookstores, and you can read the issues online.
None of the fables that appear in both the game and the comics have that kind of role/scenario. I said 99% because if the killer does get away, it'll be someone that never appeared in the comics.
In fact, Telltale kinda retconned some stuff. In the comics, Bigby says he never lost control for centuries and the sheriff job was kinda boring (he only ever chased less than 5 people). Also Snow says Bigby never showed any interest in her before. Flycatcher never actually had a job as a janitor, Bigby kept him on constant community service for minor infractions.
Bigby is much more like a wise spymaster, not Renegade Shepard. He's never really that angry and Bluebeard says all he ever do is threaten and never actually act on it. He only works on one case and solves it instantly. As far as I can tell the game takes place like 20 years before the comics, which is more like 20 months for a fable
There's like 139 issues out right now + several spin-offs (like over 200 issues in total, but I never liked Jack of Fables). All comics release once a month. Fables will end in early 2015 with issue 150
Wow, good stuff. I haven't read a comic since I was in school and that was some time ago, you've got me in a real mood for it now
