Screen Resolution.. cant play (MAC)

hi guys
i bought the game yesterday via steam and cant play at all because the screen resolution is so freaking big at startup that i can't even see the options like : play , settings etc.
there is nothing i can do and i would like to know if there is a way to change the resolution from outside the game.. the game automatically opens in full screen with a resolution that doesnt fit at all! I feel like the game is broken and that I want my money back if it is not fixable!

    I apologize for the inconvenience. Please start the game again, and after it loads, please change it to Windowed Mode using the Mac shortcut (CMD+F). You should now be able to see the whole screen in a window. You can then alter the game's resolution from the options menu. You can choose to either play the game in Windowed Mode, or switch it back to Full Screen Mode after altering the game's resolution/graphics.
