Does Episode 3 seem different from previous episodes?

Just to be clear, I really enjoy The Wolf Among Us. But it seems like the story's consistency and creativity was lacking in Episode 3. In the first two episodes, Bigby's dialog choices were diverse and unbiased, but in Ep.3, most options were aimed towards rudeness and suspecting Crane of being the killer. Also, Snow's personality has completely changed from being calm and evaluative into being angry, bossy, and overreactive.

---What's with all the thumbs down? I'm not trolling or spamming. Just expressing my opinions. I thought people here love to talk about The Wolf Among Us? There's no need to defame my thread just because you don't agree with what I'm saying or are angry about something else.---

If i found out my boss is the fucking perverted creep i would be a bit upset about it.

  • I'm fairly sure that Snow's change in attitude is intentional, and was always planned. That's her character arc. She is transmuting from the well-meaning, warm, slightly naive office assistant in Episode 1, who wants to help people but feels held back by the system, to the colder, more calculating, no-nonsense Deputy Mayor she is in the early comics.

On the inside, she hasn't changed. She's just becoming more assertive.

As for Bigby's responses? I just chalk that up to the urgency of the episode. The majority of the episode occured over a short time period that was, in effect, a race against time. And all that after Bigby found out the woman he loves was being stalked and creeped on by his supposed boss, and everyone keeps getting in the way of the truth. I'd be a little pissed too.

  • Good Dramatic full of surprises episode

Don't fucking play it if you don't like it.
In my opinion it was the best episode so far and I don't find anything wrong with the dialog choises.

  • I agree that Bigby's narrow-minded pursuit of Ichabod as the killer was admittedly an annoying flaw in what was otherwise a stellar episode, but there were elements of this in previous episodes as well, such as in his encounter with Nerissa.

I also thought that Snow's character change seemed a bit abrupt considering how pleasant and warm she was in Episode 1. I think they were just responding to fan feedback about how she wasn't enough like her comic book counterpart. To be fair, she did have to drag what appeared to be her own headless body back to the Woodlands all by herself. That sort of thing puts people in somewhat of a mood.

I think this is pretty much spot on.

I agree that you should've been able to have Bigby guess otherwise throughout the episode (or at least at the end with Snow), but it's only a minor oversight in my opinion. The rest of the things you mentioned seem like deliberate instances of character development.

Even if you are not familiar with Snow's personality from the comics (which take place after the game), you have to keep in mind Snow has been through a lot just in the first three episodes of Wolf Among Us alone.

To Kaihu: Thanks for explaining. I'm not familiar with the comics, so it makes sense why Snow has changed intentionally. I guess I just prefer Snow as she was in earlier episodes. I wish people on here weren't so quick to judge what was based on my own ignorance and thumb down my thread.

To Blind Sniper: Yeah, I agree with Kaihu too. It's weird, though, that Snow is a fable who's hundreds of years old and hasn't developed an unspeakable amount of wisdom that keeps her calm and cool in any situation.

That's a little harsh, no? He wasn't blindly insulting the game to instigate anything, he was just giving some criticism.

  • Thank you for speaking sense. Its called character development and reacting to the circumstances. Its just like in the walking dead forum where people want the characters to act the same way all the time even when the circumstances have changed.

  • Considering the evidence, circumstantial yeah but a lot of it, I wouldnt call it narrow-minded. Also, there is an option to express doubt about him being the killer.

Yeah, maybe I was little too harsh, so sorry about that.

  • Yes if you choose the correct answers, you can agree with Snow there's something bigger than Crane behind all this.
