[RUMOUR]Unannounced Telltale game (The Wolf Among Us dropped???) [Mod edit: TWAU won't be dropped]
I read here http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/70117/but-they-arent-working-on-4-games5th-game-confirmed that there is apparently a 5th series that Telltale has picked and it appears that The Wolf Among Us might be going to be sacrificed at the end of it's current run of episodes with the story wrapping up in episode 5, so if this is the case, does that mean that TWAU hasn't got a big enough following (like The Walking Dead has) to continue production even beyond the soon to released episode 4
Games we know that'll either finish/start in 2014
The Walking Dead: Season Two (Episode 3: In Harm's Way - out now, Episode 4: In The Ruins - out July, Episode 5 - out September/October)
The Wolf Among Us (Episode 4 May/June, Unknown after that)
Game Of Thrones (Episode 1 - June-December Window)
Tales From The Borderlands (Episode 1 - June-August Window)
2015
The Walking Dead: Season Three (dependent on Season Two sales)
Unannounced Telltale Project
2016
Game Of Thrones: Season Two (dependent on Season One sales)
Tales From The Borderlands: Season Two (dependent on Season One sales)
I know that the above is only rumours, but is there a chance that Telltale could tell us what's happening with TWAU, whether it be through their Facebook/Twitter accounts, an email directly to us from them or around E3/Gamescom

They're probably finished, or atleast mid way with episode 5 since episode 4 is pretty much done since it's on boards.
BTW you got borderlands wrong, it was announced to be released this summer (June-August).
But dropping it all together without episode 4 and 5 is ridiculous.

Also, Wolf Among Us seems to be doing very well anyways. Job tweeted a while back that Wolf Among Us was among the "higher selling titles" on Xbox Live Arcade.

Telltale has never canceled a series that they had already put out, and to do so would be bad for them as a large selling point of Telltale's games is that - unlike typical episodic gaming series, people can trust Telltale to finish a Season.
I think saw the tweet from Kevin Bruner that I presume is where you got this "rumor" from, and I think he was just referencing future games is all.

With TWD it is survival themed, in a host of scenario's and characters, that can be made into any number of games.
However with TWAU this game was introduced as a murder story, fables are dying, etc. There are more Fables sure, not really relevant. Bigger, louder, harder, faster to keep a fan base. Had this game introduced a different opening into the Fable universe, showing Fabletown differently through a different story line. You may well expect another Sequel. But as it is, any other sequel would be quite lame, after this murder introduction.
What scenario's would you play in Season 2. Bigby the dick'tective, in who is sleeping with those whores, in the many prostitute wars. DUN DUN introducing season 2
I am sure some fans will buy everything that comes out, but gamers tend to be quite picky. Who knows though? I'm sure you could argue more plot lines and characters, but that really isn't the entire point.
Why is TWAU doing well? Because who honestly wanted to play another TWD? Except for those fans and there are millions of them, for that game content, having a much larger fan base from the comics and with the current TV series doing so well.
Gamers often would have chosen another different game, not everyone has limitless MP's to get every game and nobody wants to wait an entire year to get the full game.....
Also note that the Steam page for The Wolf Among Us was recently updated to say that episode 4 and 5 are still coming. There is no way that the last two episodes of The Wolf Among Us aren't going to be finished, as Telltale would not cancel a game that is over half way through it's season, especially when customers already paid for a season pass. Plus, if the season was cancelled, there'd be a lot more than a vague tweet that simply didn't mention The Wolf Among Us when listing the other series.
I'm going to close this, since the tweet really doesn't have anything to do with The Wolf Among Us. If you want to continue discussing Kevin Bruner's tweet, please use the thread in General Chat:
