Touch and drag problem

Season 2, episode 3. When the zombies attack through the window you hit them with a plank and then you are supposed to "touch and drag" yourself behind the shelf. I have tried it like 100 times, usling different speeds and such but it doesnt work. The Zombie always catches me and kills me. Bug? Or should I keep trying a couple of hundred times more?

Im using a iPhone 4s.

Appriciate any help or tips.

  • I'm have the same problem. It's super frustrating. It's not clear what I should be doing or what I'm doing wrong. I'm running it on a iPad 4.
  • Same problem, playing on my iPad. I can't get past that same part. It is so frustrating. I have been trying to "Touch and Drag" behind the shelf dozens of times. Fix the bug, make a patch, I didn't buy this game so I could consume hours out of my day doing "tap", "tap", "swipe", "swipe", "swipe", "swipe", "swipe", "swipe", "you are dead".... We also bought the Playstation 3 version. My daughter finished the whole game in the same amount of time I have spent only getting to this part, and not completing it.
  • Same problem hère. I also posted about it and was hoping to find somebody who solved the problem :-(( can't do ANYTHING!!!!
  • Same here, there should be a circle to show where to tap but it is not appearing?

I apologize for anyone still experiencing this issue. You should be able to complete this particular part in the Episode by swiping left to avoid the Zombie, and then letting go of the surface of your device, then after you are prompted to swipe left again, re-apply the swipe and hold it down. You should then be able to complete the process. (Tapping and dragging/sliding your finger anywhere on the screen should work.)
  • I am using iPad. Same problem. It really sucks. I wonder if you do any trial before release. Or it's similar to the Microsoft programmers' problem --> they write instruction that only they can understand and put the users in misery.
  • "Tapping and dragging/sliding your finger anywhere on the screen should work."

THE FACT IS IT DOESN'T WORK. WHEN I TAP AND DRAG/SLIDE ON THE TOUCHSCREEN, CLE SIMPLY DIDN'T MOVE. I HAVE PLAYED ALL THE PREVIOUS EPISODES AND DIDN'T ENCOUNTER SUCH PROBLEM. IT'S DEFINITELY A BUG.

WOULD THERE BE ANY PATCH? IF NOT, I AM GOING TO RATE IT DOWN ON APP STORE.

  • Yea, I've been having the same problem:(
Please make a big fix please!!!

My apologies. We have had some reports of players saying they are still stuck at this point in the episode. Depending on the device you are on, there may be a delay in when you are able to tap and drag to the left on the second part.

Please try again, and on the second tap and drag, please try waiting a second, and then tap and drag your finger left, and hold your finger down on the screen of your device until Clementine reaches the other side of the room, and you should be able to complete that particular quick-time event.

  • I had the same problem on iPad. As the guy said above, after you swipe left, tap and drag. Then tap and drag again but hold. You don't have to keep tapping. Bit of a hard one to get, kind of like the lighter in the first episode. Hope you get it. :)

  • Season2 episode1 at the very beginning: I've purchased season2 on my iPad last night and I've been having a similar problem only at my case I cannot move Clem AT ALL. SEASON1 worked flawlessly but I cannot play season2, I'm currently stuck at the forest where I have to light up the fire. After finding the lighter at Clem's backpack, I cannot move AT ALL.
Please provide with a solution, otherwise I have to rate down the game and ask for a refund. It is so frustrating!!!

P.S. I have already tried to re-install the game and restart my ipad several times.

  • I have the same issue as Headachegr I'm only in the first episode on my iPhone 5s and I can't move clementine to start the fire, I have paid 20 dollars to have all the episodes and now it seems I wasted my money. Please someone answer our questions or fix them. Because this is a huge problem for the iPhone or Apple product community if it effects us all.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please try tapping and holding your finger down on the screen, then dragging it to the right in the direction of the campfire. You can also try tapping on the campfire, and selecting the icon associated with starting the fire.

If you are still unable to move Clementine, or access the campfire, please close the game and all other applications running in the background. This should free up necessary system resources. (To close an app running in the background on iOS 6 and before: double tap the home button to make all running apps appear at the bottom of the screen, hold down on an app you wish to close and red buttons will appear, tap the red buttons to close the apps. If on iOS 7, double tap the home button and swipe up on the open apps to close them) Also, please turn off your iOS device for at least three minutes before attempting to play the game again. This will allow the device’s cache to clear.

Then after restarting your device, please reset the WiFi by turning the WiFi Settings Off, and back On again. Then try starting the game application again, and see if you are able to successfully move Clementine towards the campfire.

@TelltaleMile Thanks for the advice but I'm afraid it's not working. Given the number of people experiencing the same problem within the last day and a half, this looks to be a genuine bug, not user error.

I apologize for the inconvenience. We believe to have resolved the issue. Please try starting the game application again while connected to the internet, and start Episode 1 again. You should now be able to move Clementine successfully.

  • So I have to start episode one all over again? I'm stuck on the episode 3 of season 2 where I cannot drag past the cabinet to escape the zombie. I've been trying and trying and nothing...

Please retry that scene, and when you are behind the cabinet, please drag your finger in the direction Clementine needs to move, and hold your finger on the screen until she is done moving (do not take your finger off of the screen until Clementine has stopped moving) and you should be able to complete the quick-time event successfully.
