SBCG4AP - Multiple Seasons?

I just bought and finished the 3rd episode of SBCG4AP. I loved it, just like with the previous 2 episodes. As the end of this season comes to a close in December, I'm left wondering if Telltale will make more seasons of this game, like with Sam and Max. I really hope they do, because it just seems to me that Telltale and Homestar go together like chocolate and peanut butter.

Also, do you think it'll be possible for a Sam and Max cameo in any future episodes, similar to the Homestar cameo in Sam and Max: Season 2?

There wasn't a Homestar cameo in Season 2, there was a Homestar cameo on a Season 2 DVD featurette. Not in the actual GAMES, though.

Anyway, I suspect that we'll see another season of Homestar-related goodness. Unless the Brothers Chaps don't want to do it again for some reason(there are a few that come to mind), it seems to me that its Wiiware popularity would allow it to bring in a lot of money.

It's all about money, at the end of the day. Money and the desires of the creators of the characters. =p

at least there is the option of a second season. as usually telltale won't confirm a second season until it's 100% safe that one will be done.
should a second season be done, it may be possible that is won't be centered around strong bad, but around another h*r character.
i think the sbcg4ap episodes are listed in the windows registry (or somewhere else. i am not totally sure.) as homestarrunner 10x or homestar 10x or something.

Maybe it could be TCCG4FYT! (the cheats cool game for fluffy yellow things!)
  • edited November 2008
that would be awesome...the cheat is the coolest guy around. unfortunately, due to his lack of proper speech he would probably not be the best choice for a playable character....same with pompom. also, the cheats 3d-model would need a serious do-over, if he was to be the main character of the whole season.
homestar would work best, i think. he and strong bad are the two main figures in the cartoons. you wouldn't want to play as bubs, coach z or the kot..right? maybe for a short time, but not for 5 episodes.
the only support character that might work is strong sad, in my eyes. i don't think he's popular enough though...

    IF telltale does another season

And anyway, a game with, for example Homestar, would end up like this:

    [Put [Plug] in [Socket]]

    Homestar: No.

    [Use [Sammich] on [Homestar]]

    Homestar: No.

    [Use [Socket] on [Sammich]]

    Homestar: Yush!

That would be like a new way of solving puzzles! Instead of using twisted logic we can use ridiculous logic!
  • edited November 2008
That's just a ridiculously long way of saying "no logic".

I just have to give my opinion on the "Sammich Socket" thing...
I SAY WE PUT A FORK IN IT! I SAY WE USE A FORK!

If we do get another season (I really hope we do) it will probably still be Strong Bad's game (or, his Cool Game for Attractive People). However, they might make an episode centered more on one of the other characters.

    Ahem. You mean - HMG4ATP?
  • edited November 2008
Their should be an 11 part 2.5D weekly episodic remake of stinkoman game. Or a TGS series.

    SBCG4AP IS SBCG4AP.
You can't replace Strong Bad with ANY other character.
Imagine an episode where you impersonate Marzipan:
You will always try to use Carol as a weapon on every single object but Marzipan will just say "That's not a good idea", Strong Bad Style is unique.

Well... I was referring to the fact that it would only be an episode of SBCG4AP... but that is pretty catchy!

I would love a new season! If they do make one, however, I think Strong Bad should still be the main character.

I actually would love to play a Marzibread game for one, even if it's just for one game. I mean, imagine this:

You are locked in a closet, and the only thing you have is a wrench. So, what are you going to do?

[Use [Wrench] on [Locked closet door]]

MARZIPAN: Isn't that a little bit too violent?

Or, you'd have to play a game of "Where Is An Egg?", but when you pick the pistol icon:

    MARZIPAN: Guns are for losers.

Wait, now that I think about it, a Marzipan game doesn't really sound all that exciting.

    EDIT:

    Now Coach Z however:

    [Clickety-click on [The Batten]]

COACH Z: OH! What does this batten do?

<BOOM! SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE THE ROOM!>

COACH Z: Okay, maybe that wasn't such a good idea.

BUBS: Coach Z, what the hell did you do to my consession stand?

COACH Z: Well, eh, ya see, Bubs, I was doin' an experiment with this batten. Apparently something told me to push da batten.

BUBS: Coach Z, haven't I told you not to listen to voices in your head?

Yeah. That would get pretty boring pretty quickly.

Telltale Guys(TM), in your personal opinion, how likely is a second season looking at the moment?
  • edited November 2008
The first season isn't even over yet and I want another one. :P
  • edited November 2008
It would be kind of cool if there was a season where each episode you play a different one of the most popular characters.
  • edited November 2008
I'd love to see how they top Dangeresque and Trogdor/Stinkoman

Right now, the chances for season two to ever happen is as big as SBEmail 201. Ever happening.
