Help! I'm stuck! Can't move my character AT ALL

Hello,

I am attempting to play The Walking Dead season 2 episode 1 on Steam (PC) but I can't get past the campfire scene. It asks you to move around but when I use the left joystick on the xbox controller I have, the character just rotates in place!

I noticed that this was an issue as well in a couple of cutscenes with characters not moving and I was also unable to move in the bathrooms as well.

- I am using an xbox 360 controller
- I have tried using the keyboard and mouse, same problem.
- The second joystick to look around and selecting chat options works just fine.
- This is the first and only game I am experiencing this issue with. Walking Dead season 1 and Wolf Among us were just fine.
- I've tried reinstalling.
- I've tried replaying the scene at least 4 times by now. Every time I'm still unable to move around.
- I've tried creating a new save file and not linking it to the first season's save file.
- Verifying integrity of game cache shows a 100% error-free match.

I am out of options and it seems like nobody else is having this problem. Please help me out here! Thanks.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please open the Steam Client and click on Steam at the top left of the window. Then click on Settings from the drop down menu. Then under the Account menu, next to the Beta participation category, click ‘Change…’ and then click on the drop down menu, and click on ‘NONE – Opt out of all beta programs’. Then go back to your Library and start the game, and you should now be able to play with a controller.

It works now. unplugged some stuff and had pc off overnight so maybe the reset helped too

    *edit*
Thanks for your reply Mike. It was already set to Opt out. No worries now though, all is well!
