Missing Saves - TWD Season 2 PC
Having looked at multiple articles about this issue already, I've tried a couple of the solutions but can't seem to find a one that works.
After installing The Walking Dead: Season 2, episode 3, all of my save data from the previous two episodes was gone and the 'my choices' option in the main menu was locked. All of the data from Season 1 is still there, it's just my saves of Season 2 that are missing.
A lot of the solutions I've found online have a lot to do with the preps.prop file. It seems like there is meant to be two copies of it (in the program files folder and my documents) but I only have one copy. It's in the my documents file and it's only 2KB in size.
From the looks of things, my steam account is having difficulty synchronizing with the cloud (which has 26.77KB of data saved on it). I've tried disabling this and restarting steam, but it doesn't have any effect on the issue. Please help!

to a folder on your desktop, and rename the prefs.prop file in that folder to prefs.prop.bak to disable it. Then start the game again, and your saves should be restored.
