No saves for PS3? Is this 1992?
Hi, my wife and I downloaded this game for PS3. Why is there no save option? Sorry don't know what your market research suggests, but I do not have 24 hours straight free to play this game. Why do I read people talking about save files on other platforms yet there is none for PS3? We searched everywhere to save our game during ep2, gave up deciding that it must auto save it. Found out when we loaded it up next we have to sit through the same two hours for a third time (the first time we had that glitch when you die). It is also disturbing that in a game where you hype a tailored choice based story that NONE of our progress through ep 1 was remembered. I got this partly from the great reviews it gets, and yes the story is ok, the praise is baffling if it means people with a job or kids or even some semblance of a life cannot play it. Also even though we have sat through a ton of ep 2 no trophies. If you can get my save files back I will continue playing, but if not, you need to do the right thing and offer my money back. I do not want to sit through the same two hours for a third time.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if after downloading the game, you also downloaded and installed the Unlock Key necessary for unlocking The Walking Dead into the Full Game version? If you haven't downloaded and installed both, please open the Playstation Store, and on the home page, scroll all the way down to 'View Downloads' and open that menu. You should then see the game demo, as well as the Unlock Key. Download and install both, and you should then be able to play the game and it will save successfully.
Please also make sure that you are first starting the game from the same account that purchased it originally, while connected to the internet, to make sure you are receiving the latest update available for the game.
I cannot see anything named "unlock key". There is the trial, then PSN game, followed by parts 2 and 3 labeled "extra episode", parts 4 and 5 labelled "level". I would have assumed by paying for and downloading all five parts (including the first episode again) it would have done that itself. I cannot even find anything labelled "unlock key" in the store. Please help.
My apologies. The Unlock Key file should be about 2.3 MB in size. If you see a download in your View Downloads menu for The Walking Dead that size, then please download and install that. If you do not see the full game unlock key, can you please clarify if you purchased the Season Pass, or just Episodes 2 and 3? After receiving this information, we will be able to assist you further.
If that is it, then yes I seem to have downloaded it. There is one there labelled "walking dead season pass" that is 2.1 MB. So where to from here. And yes, I did get the season pass. The way we did it was there was a free trial on PSN, containing the first episode. We enjoyed that so then the next day I bought the season pass. Then I downloaded the entire package (including the first ep, even though we already had it, was unsure if it made a difference, but I figured it would tell me if I did not need it). Then that night we played ep 2, it did not recognise any previous decision and no trophies popped. After playing for about two hours we were tired and wanted to sleep. We looked for a save function, could not find one. I told my wife not to worry, most games auto save these days. The next day when we booted it up, had to start the same thing again, meaning all the previous nights progress is gone. It sort of ruins the experience playing through for a third time.
Can you please clarify what region/country you are currently residing in? Also, did you purchase the NA (North America) or EU (European) version of the game?
I am in Australia. I don't know which version I bought. It is whatever one I am able to download off PSN.
As long as you have downloaded and installed the Demo and Unlock Key, your game should be able to save successfully. My only other suggestion would be to make sure that you did not purchase the PS Vita version of The Walking Dead: Season Two Season Pass by mistake, because the game will not function correctly.
