What is the point of the Crooked Man?

I really did not understand what he wants to do and what his ideas are. I didn't understand, is he capturing Fables to get hair, clothes and stuff from them to make glamours and if yes, why would he want them for?

Sorry if my question is too dumb but I was too intense while they were all talking, haha.

  • I think he wants to start a war and overthrow the fables government, and will use bigby as an example of the kind of treatment people get from their so called leaders (dependent on how you have played). In a nutshell.

  • He's not doing anything as outright barbaric as capturing Fables to make glamours. Instead, he's controlling people through supply and demand. Fables need things, he provides them, but in doing so he gains control over his customers. He is an extortionist on a massive scale.

On occasion, when people are sufficiently in debt to him, he starts controlling them more directly, putting them to work as indentured servants (ie. slaves) in his organisation.
