Technology

With the upcoming release of a most likely Videlectrix related game and the whole technology thing, I've come to develop a theory that the evolution of technology in the H*R universe, for whatever reason, runs backwards. When you think about it, it makes quite a bit of sense. If we assume that Videlectrix exists in the H*R universe, just not in Free Country, USA, then their pixelated 2-D graphics really are quite good and have evolved beyond the "primitive" 3-D graphics we see TTG using. It would also apply to things like CDs. Sure, they're plenty of inconsistencies, but, in general, it's a pretty solid theory.

I doubt it goes backwords. Strong Bad's idea of good graphix is different. So what? Videlectrix just has the same problem.

Why does everyone think that the old 2D pixelated games are crappy? All they are is outdated, imagine in 10 years... When games get injected directly into our brain stem, does that make the games of today crappy? No, they are still awesome... just in a different format.

If they were serious, Videlectrix would have a point... It's not the format used, it's how you use it... (But, they're not. They are just stubborn, and probably mentally retarded as well.)

Strong Bad just uses outdated hardware because he either is broke or a big cheapskate. It has nothing to do with the fact that technology goes backwards or something. It's just that Strong Bad is a cheapskate, Marzipan is a tree-hugging hippie, Homestar is just plain too stupid, The Cheat has no fingers and Bubs most probably has all his technology stashed in his "non-existent" warehouse.

Well, while it's true that they could just be to stubborn to accept that they have bad technology, there really isn't anything to show that Strong Bad just uses outdated tech because he's cheap.

"Sure, I'm sure that thing's forwards compatiable."

This quote fully explains my opinion on the topic.

I don't think it goes backwards, just at varying degrees of slowness.

Strong Bad and Videlectrix are just "behind the times" while the Cheat and Pom-Pom are "ahead of the times." Homestar is wondering "do you has the times" and Homsar is saying "aAaAAaAAaaAAH... I'm a floppy pizza oven's turntable."
