A solution to the expensive glamour.
I was thinking about the problem with that some Fables can't afford the expensive glamours, while others don't even need them
cause they already look like humans. Since the fables count themself as a community they would easily solve it all by making a tax.
A glamour tax where all fables pay a amount of money to the Fable "government".
The government will then provide glamours for free to those who need it.
This wouldn't be much of a problem for the fables, because if you divide the cost of all glamours with the whole
Fable community it would become cheaper for the ones who need a glamour, and it wouldn't cost too much for those who earlier didn't need to pay anything. (Except for the very poor, but that might also be solved with this, if there is a surplus of money after the tax is payed some of that money could be redistributed to the poor)
If the Fable community cares so much about their community this would solve their problem.

Glamours aren't expensive just for the hell of it, they're expensive because there are only witches and magical components enough to create and maintain a certain amount of them while also keeping up Fabletown's magical defenses against the mundies and the Adversary.
In the comics, Fabletown's wealth is eventually doubled many times over, and it doesn't help the production of Glamours in the slightest. Introducing a tax would just make life harder for all the fables who are already struggling to get by, and it'd make the richer fables who have much more to loose, and some of whom already donate vital money to the government, very angry.
