I apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we do not support running the game while any mods are installed at the same time such as CyanogenMod11 Nightly. We recommend running on the Stock Rom for the device, and then your game application should run successfully.
I also have a problem with the sounds, I just get garbled noise more like modem noise than talking or music! Only difference is I'm running stock 4.4.4 on my Nexus 7 rev 2
I apologize for the inconvenience. Below are a few potential solutions:
1) Make sure your OS is updated to the most recent version
2) Force stop the application, and then relaunch it
3) Reset your WiFi settings by turning them Off, and back On then reconnect with the network.
4) Force close all apps running in the background, and turn off your device for a few minutes, before attempting to launch The Walking Dead again.
5) Delete the application from your device, and re-download it from the App Store (Please note that this will delete your save data)
I was playing the game on my oneplus one, and everything worked just fine until I got the latest OTA update that updated the phone to Android 4.4.4.

As I have read over the internet this sound Buzz bug seems to hit everybody who is on Android 4.4.4.
Telltale you really need to have a look at this, its not just a bad download. its a bug!. Please fix so i can continue this awesome game.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately if you have recently updated your device's OS and you are experiencing this issue, you may need to delete and re-download the game application on your device. Please note that your save files will be erased in the process.
This is definitely not just a download issue after an update. I have just installed the game for the first time and have this same issue.
Trust me that has been done multiple times already.. No luck. If you look at the link I postet, other people are having the same issue and they installed The game after the update. Bug report as been filed to cyanogenmod but it does seem to be a specific problem with the walking dead and android 4.4.4 as everybody who is having this issue seem to be running Android 4.4.4. Every other game seems to be working fine only the walking game has this sound buzz bug.

Same problem here with Oneplus CM11S with last update. Anybody tried with another rom? In any case please try to fix ASAP, we can't wait to go on with this masterpiece!
Great news everyone! Turns out this bug is specific for cm11s and has now been fixed and will come out with the next OTA update for cm11s.

Ps. I can tell you guys that I have tried two other roms for the One Plus since last I wrote, this being Paranoid Android 4.5 beta2 (4.4.4) and also a standard Cyanogenmod 11 (4.4.4) and neither of them had the sound bug.

I'm getting that sound bug when I was on 4.4.4 and I just upgraded to 5.0 lollipop did a fresh install of the game and I still have that garbled sound! Please help!
Can you please clarify if you hear the sound issue both through the phones speakers, and when using headphones?
Has there been any update on this I have the season pass for seasons 1&2 and I am disappointed in the fact this has taken months to still not resolve i have a nexus 7 running 5.0.2 build number LRX22G I am not using any 3 party hardware or software ?
I unfortunately do not have an update on the resolution of this issue at this time. We are actively investigating the issue, and hope to have more information in the near future.
