Best fight in the game?
Now that we've all five episodes, what do you think Bigby's best asskicking was? Please remind me if I'm missing one, this is off the top of my head. I'm also only including targets that fight back - smacking Dee/Woody, Jack or Georgie around doesn't count. Spoilers for all episodes, obviously.
Episode 1:
The fight with Woody - the Big Bad Wolf versus the Woodsman, what's not to like. Plenty of destruction too.
The fight with Gren - had a Rocky type feel to it; start as the underdog only to turn the tables and given a choice whether to remind Grendel of Beowulf.
Episode 2:
You can scuffle with Bluebeard if you disagree over prisoner treatment, but Snow interrupts before it can get going.
The fight with Beast in the Hotel corridor, Beast having thought Beauty was cheating with Bigby. You can punch him when he's down, but unlike Gren's arm nothing is said about it after.
Episode 3:
The funeral fight with the Tweedles - the brothers toting shotguns makes this one a tad short, although seeing Gren lay the smackdown on someone else was good to watch.
The alley fight. Bigby's first (determinant) kill and the first time we see the wolf really start to come out. Contains flinging Tweedles at electric signs or Bloody Mary, for added badassery.
Episode 4:
Jersey Devil at the Lucky Pawn. Having forgetting he's talking to the Big Bad Wolf, it's quite satisfying to beat some manners into his horse face and drop an anvil on him (or the Headless Horseman statue, but I figured the anvil weighed more). Also contains a tag-team with Woody and his axe.
Episode 5:
Crooked Man's Lair. Things go bad negotiating with the Crooked Man - Jersey will need some more aspirin, Dee gets shanked and Georgie ought to work on his knivesmanship. Shame Bloody Mary isn't involved more, besides roundhouse kicking you in the face.
Bloody Mary. You have some unfinished business. The hideous true form(s) of Bloody Mary and the badass true form of Bigby duke it out. I do have a couple of gripes about this scrap, though. From my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, huffing and puffing should have been far more devastating, destroying the building even. I was also disappointed we didn't get to decide her fate, a [Crush to death] [Drop her in molten steel] [North wind] [Rip her head off] option would have been nice. Oh well.
Which fight did you most enjoy?
Comments
Jeresy.
Without a doubt. Bigby vs Tweedles in the alley comes very close and is probably more memorable, but the Jeresy fight just felt so viseral. Jeresy's excellent design also adds it to greatly. Not to mention the Huntsman's bromance.
The Episode 5 Mary fight felt like a bit of a let down. It started off strong, but the infinite Mary's just felt a really cheap way of getting Bigby into his true form.
The one with Bloody Mary at the end. This whole season I wanted Bigby to wolf out and it finally happened. I agree the North Wind should have been more destructive, but maybe he was doing that to not draw too much attention. It would be hard to explain why the town is destroyed to Snow.
