The investigation, episode 1
I've been reading a lot through all the theories and predictions, and now I've decided to play the game again to try and find something out, something, which hasn't been noticed. I'll be writing notes throughout the progress, then I'll post them here. They will contain everything - theories, questions, facts, observations. Respond in comments, furthermore craft theories, raise or answer questions. So, here we go !
"While talking with "Faith" after the fight with Woodsman, after a reply about the ribbon, message pops up, saying "She'll remember that". Not Faith. She."
This may mean nothing, since we just don't know her name, but it may also be interpreted as not allowing player to find out who she REALLY is.
"In Ep. 1, we don't find out what brand is she smoking."
If we would find out the brand she's smoking, it could help a lot, since we know what brand Nerissa smokes. Will look at this in later episodes.
"Her dialogue color is light blue."
Just a quick note for the future episodes.
"Didn't give her money, testing out the theory that Faith is disguised Nerissa, and Faith was dead before all this. If she doesn't get money, Nerissa will have to ask you for it when in P&P."
I'm a fan of this theory, but it's lacking, so I'm trying to find more proof to this. Will try to discuss other theories as well.
"Bruises on the head : blue eye, blood on the lips, left corner. Same were on the head and at the Woodsman's place."
Another quick note for observations, Maybe I'll notice something.
"Attitude and behavior so far : pretty straightforward and trying to be funny, though also somewhat humble."
Will try to compare this to Nerissa's behaviour.
"Some of her movements remind of Nerissa."
Another note for the future. Can't really put my finger on which movements remind me of Nerissa, but maybe I'll notice them later.
"On the ribbon in Faith's mouth was her ring."
Now, this is where things get interesting. Why would Faith leave it ? If she was planning an escape after all this, she wouldn't have wanted people finding more about her and her tale, since that may lead to the ultimate discovery of her being alive. If it was Nerissa who placed the ring in the mouth, it'd make more sense - she was trying to point them in the right direction, finding more about Faith, getting more leads (Prince Lawrence). More, I don't think Faith would want to leave her only memory of the Homelands (she already left her donkeyskin).
"Huff n Puff in the trash can in the area of investigation near Woodlands."
More about the cigarettes. May have been only Bigby's empty pack, maybe something more.
"Lawrence."
Another interesting one. In his place, stuff doesn't make sense. Bullet hole in the wall doesn't match with the position of a shooter. Lawrence says he shot himself in the heart, which, personally to me, doesn't make sense. If you wanted to suicide, why would you shoot in the heart and not head ? And the bullet hole in the wall is confusing as hell. Why is it there ? Who decided to shoot in the wall ?
"Possible explanation for bruisings."
Lawrence has written a note, saying that he cannot endure knowing that he hurt Faith. As one of the users pointed out, bruises and beatings don't come from slaps, such as we witnessed at the Woodsman's place. Possible theory - he attacked Faith, in rage because she was leaving, she defended herself with the blade (which also would explain a weird wound in Lawrence's body - why would he cut his wrist, when he was planning to suicide with a gun ?)
"I'm sorry. Faith".
This letter adds up to the theory that Faith is still alive, and she's sorry for having to leave this "kingdom", just like in her tale. Also, she may be sorry for getting out of Lawrence's apartment and working something nasty, not having a choice but being unable to tell him anything (these lips are sealed). Note on the fridge at the Lawrence's place + him saying stuff meant that she didn't live with him anymore, but still visited him.
"Lily was reported missing a few weeks ago"
Why would the murder of Faith be so long after ? It should have been soon after it, which supports Nerissa being alive and Faith being dead before TWAU events. If you kill her friend, you must kill her very soon too, or she's going to find out and escape or fuck things up for you.
Finally - whose head was glamoured as Snow's ?
