Fables not mentioned

Is anyone kind of upset (comic readers) that many of the other Fables in the comics were not mentioned in the game? I know it could have been hard since it had to go with canon, but I would have liked to see some of the other ones. I hope we can see some of the other Fables in a DLC modeled after 400 Days where we play as different Fables. What do you guys think? Which Fables would you have wanted to see or think we might see in a sequel?

Comments

  • The only ones I can think of are Frau Totenkinder, Boy Blue, Pinocchio and Rose Red, although BB and Pinocchio show up in a letter from BB in Episode 3, on Crane's desk.

  • Frankensteins Head, although I guess he was present in the business office but most people didn't realize he was under that purple sheet hanging over the cage

  • I agree. There were some discrepancies from the comics that kind of annoyed me. Not necessarily fables that weren't mentioned but things like how Bigby seemed a bit dumbed down here whereas in the comics he is total badass and knows every little detail about fabletown. Just think of the first few issues where he solves the case in like the first issue and just waits to reveal until the third I believe. I feel comic Bigby wouldn't have had to spend so much time running around just trying to find crooked man let alone catch him.

  • I definitely would have liked to have seen Totenkinder and Boy Blue. Maybe some excuse to see Briar Rose. And I'd rather have done the "trial" with Kay, and had more actual playtime rounding of accomplices.

It might have been fun to see Hobbes, and I would have liked to have seen Grimble in troll mode.

  • Definitely Frau Totenkinder, Boy Blue, and Rose Red if no one else. Cindy would have been nice too, and Kay.

  • Frau Totenkinder, Cindy and Kay. I think Cindy was teased with her shop and i think she was in one of the loading screens until it got changed. Since this was a prequel and the Rise of Snow White, it would've made sense if Bigby met Cinderella and made her his secret agent or asked Woody to become one of his tourists.

Personally I'm a little bit upset there was no mention of the Adversary/Emperor here. They do mention the Exodus and the armies of gobbos and dragons but not the name of the actual guy who drove them out. Not even in the codex/Book of fables. It may have been a bit to fantasy for this Noir story...but that is one of the main reasons I enjoy the Fables series. To me Volume 4: March of the wooden soldiers is where the series really hits it's stride. Dont get me wrong, i loved Legends in Exile, Animal Farm and DEFFO Storybook love....but Wolf in the Fold, Battle for the Last Castle and Frog's eye view are what really got me invested into the character's backstory previous to them coming to our world.
