Concerning the ending.
There's plenty of theory posts out there - and I'm sure many of us get the gist of it.
Here's a question I don't see answered, though - when you pick "give her a cig" people make the connection about current nerissa/faith enjoying them, and Nerissa previously NOT enjoying them.
Now, has no one tried "remove the ribbon"? Because I did. And when I did this, she made up an excuse, but the point is, she REFUSED to let me get close to it, much less take it off. So the question of this thread is; Why?
You can make the point that it was just in the context, however - at the end of the playthrough, when it lined out all of my choices through the game, the specific thing it told me is "you tried to remove her ribbon" (in episode 5, I did NOT try to remove it the first time in episode 4) for the ending.
So why is this relevant? If Vivian killed herself to release everyone from the curse of her ribbon, then why the fuck would she still be refusing to take it off, or let you take it off? Clearly, she was able to say whatever she felt like, because the curse was gone and therefore didn't restrict her from saying what she felt like at the end. (Unless, you could argue, the fact she was lying was why she didn't "My lips are sealed.")
So, my theory is this - The ribbon itself is the source for the glamour that Faith is using to pose as Nerissa. And, perhaps, the "alarm" that the butcher hit? We never saw who was cooking up magic in that back room at the time - so maybe that's involved, who knows?

As for the question: i didn't even question what she was saying. the "that's something i have to do on my own" seems valid to me idk...
