Sam & Max theme park ride ideas

edited October 2011 in Sam & Max
I know, this is a pretty far-out idea, but if it ever occurs, has anyone else thought about a Sam & Max theme park ride? It probably will never happen, but it's just fun to speculate. My idea would be sort of like a mixture of the Jimmy Neutron ride at Universal and the MuppetVision 3D ride at Disney World. It'd be one of those moving seats/cars ride, and it'd kind of fit. Think about it: Sam & Max usually drive around recklessly leaving a trail of destruction behind them. They'd be perfect for these kinds of things. Anyone else have any ideas?

The roller coaster (I can't remember the name) at the Blister of Tranquility.

Why just stop there? Why not make the entire Blister of Tranquility? Minus the wall-less, ceiling-less elevator, maybe just a regular elevator.

Yeah............. that'd.......... own..... so....... freakin'...... much.

Yes. Yes it would. Too bad it probably will never be made...today...*pulls out power tools*

A dark ride, like the Disney stuff. Hugh Bliss has escaped from hell, and seeks gleeful revenge!

Somehow the Roger Rabbit attraction at Disneyland seems not too far off from a Sam & Max attraction :)

I kept thinking of a part in my idea of the ride where the guys are about to go fly to the moon, and Max is delivering the safety regulations: "...in the event of an unexpected landing, the person sitting next to you can be used as a flotation device. If that doesn't work, then just close your eyes, click your heels three times, and say 'There's no place like home.'" I also had the idea of the COPS running the safety video, with them mentioning the fact that they were originally going to have Augmented Reality Goggles, but due to a sudden mishap (Bluster Blaster: THEY CAUGHT ON FIRE WHEN I GOT HERE, I SWEAR!) they decided to go with AR Glasses (ie 3D glasses).

Bob: When you leave the theater, don't forget to drop your glasses in our patented Augmented Reality Glasses Containment Bins.
Bluster Blaster: THOSE ARE TRASH CANS!
Bob: No, they are Augmented Reality Glasses Containment Bins.

If you really want to see something like that, I recommend checking out the program "No Limits RollerCoaster Simulator" you can create your own Roller Coasters, Design, Speed and All.

a Disney ride sounds.... impossible. But they did make Hell in toad's wild ride......

Which is most likely the reason why they took it down and replaced it with a Winnie the Pooh ride.

I remember the Country Bears. They were pretty scary, but not as disturbing as the film made about the ride.

Now I have an idea! If I ever go to Disneyland, I'm gonna bring my Soul Train token! Then I can scream "I'M GOING TO HELL!!!!" Before that section of the ride. Ah.... then'd they kick me off. :D

If you do that, you are obligated by law to bring a digital camera with you on the ride and upload the video on YouTube. You up for it? ;)

Hell yeah! (pun kinda obviously intended)

The Sam and Max theme park! Now with a 20% lower fatality rate!

Sam and Max Theme Park: Now with brand new attractions such as the Computer Obselescence Protection Society stalls, Bagpipe Obliteration, Car Uprgrades, Stuttgart Online and MORE.

Come check out our food bistros, run competitively by Bosco's: Home of the 1000 year old Weenie, Stinky's, specialists in basalt sandwiches and Goolashes Tar Cake. And if your lucky, maybe the Hosts of Cooking without Looking will entice you with they're world famous Ketchup Cake.

Don't forget to try the rides; a 10 Minute Demo of Reality 2.0 costs your close friend's career, A round trip on the Soul Train costs One Soul Token, A Trip through time will cost you five Mariachi song hearings and a trip to the moon will cost all feasability and understanding you have of physics.

And be sure to take some photos with the Severed re-animated granite head of former U.S President Abraham Lincoln. Romour is it that with every 10 photo's taken, he spouts out a Gun upgrade Voucher.

Sam and Max Theme Park, The only area on earth where the Law doesnt apply.

That could work. That'd actually work quite well. I still like my 3D movie idea, though.

Thanks, for a second I began to believe it was a possiblity, I had a bit more but was afraid Id be banned for forum clogging or something

The only problem is that it had virtually no mention of sam and max, lol

That's it, screw the Harry Potter island, I'm going to Florida and forcing Universal to make a Sam & Max island!

I would love to see this made a reality, it would be awesome. It could be a 3d shooter where we ride along with sam and max (kinda like the spiderman ride lol) and everyone is divided into teams, whoever shoots the most stuff gets something cool.... the theme park sounds cool too!
  • edited January 2009
How about a ride similar to the one at the amusement park in "The Friend for Life"? I might hesitate before I ride that one, though just the thought that it's Sam and Max related would make me want to ride it. XD

A S+M Spider-Man-esque ride would be good, but I still like my idea. Maybe the ride could be like the Toy Story Mania ride, or the Buzz Lightyear ride.

I had an idea. You start going on a tour of sam and max's office, with really crappy animatronics. Suddenly, Sam & Max (top of the line animatronics that can walk!) show up, say it horrible, and take you to the next room, where you get in one of the DeStos, and explore the teams cuh-raaaaaazy adventures! In the middle of the ride, Strong Bad tries to take over the ride, but he doesn't get very far in the cool car. Gromit would make various barely noticable apearences.

Maybe SB gets a small fly-by cameo.

If it were a ride like the Buzz Lightyear ride, what would be the symbols you have to shoot them with be?
  • edited February 2009
I dunno, maybe little targets... but since it's sam and max I'd say anything and everything could be a target :P

Including the person sitting next to you in the car? *devilish smile develops across face*

Sam and Max laser tag? Nah...

In my idea for the ride, I could think up some neat 4D effects. For example, my ride idea involves Max having to shoot the guy we're chasing...and then gets distracted and starts to shoot randomly. During this part, there would be little lights flashing around in the theater, making it look like Max is shooting there. There would also be little air jets near and around people, to make it feel like there are bullets whizzing by your head. Cool, eh? :D
