Second playthrough of S2E4 Freezes near the end

Hey guys. I'm facing a very weird issue and I don't know what is causing it.

So I got the episode day one, and when I played through it the first time, everything was fine. I got from start to finish with no glitches, bugs or hiccups (minus one two flash moments where I get a weird camera angle in a cutscene, but if you blink you wouldn't notice them). However, when my friend came over (he's been playing the game at my house) and played his file on slot two, the very end moment goes completely haywire.

The first time we tried, the sound and graphics skipped during the final conversation with the Russians and then froze as Clem turned over to Rebecca with her legs contorted. Once we reset the system, every time we tried to replay the last scene, the game would randomly freeze and start again with audio cutting out or being missing all together. It'd happen different times throughout the scene, and then freeze as Clem turned to Rebecca (though not contorted like the first time). One time when we paused mid glitch, it brought us with the pause menu for the first episode with three options to "Create Save File". We tried rewinding to copying it to the third file, only for it to keep happening.

We hope this gets fixed soon. He was at the very last choice of the episode and we'd hate to have to start from the beginning of the episode or (worse) the beginning of the season/series. Thanks!

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please try Clearing your System's Cache, then start the game while connected to the internet, and signed into your Xbox Live account, and make sure to download the latest Title Update for the game. Then try playing through the last part of the episode again.

  • Still not working. If anything, it's worse, because now it just freezes at the start of the final chapter.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please try deleting the individual episode from your console, and then re-download it, and see if your issue is resolved. Here are the instructions on how to delete an individual episode on Xbox 360:

    To Delete an Episode

    • Hit the Xbox Guide Button in the Middle of your Controller
    • Go as far to the right as you can
    • Scroll down and click on System Settings
    • Scroll down and click on Storage
    • Click your HardDrive/Memory Card (Wherever the DLC is Saved on)
    • Click on Games and Apps
    • Scroll down and find the game you want to delete the DLC for and click on the game
    • A list of all your saves, DLC, etc will show up, find the DLC/Episode you want and click it
    • Now scroll down and click Delete

    To Re-Download

    • Go to the Game Marketplace
    • Go the game you want to re-download the DLC for
    • Click Download Again for the DLC (The Episode should say ‘Free’ next to it)

Then restart the game, and you should not experience the freezing again.

Still not working. If anything, it's worse, because now it just freezes at the start of the final chapter.

  • It worked, thanks!
