Can Gift'd Episodes be upgraded to the full season?

A while ago I had gotten a gift Sam and Max Season 2 Episode 1.

Now I'm wondering can I upgrade that to the full season 2.

I ask because each time I try to enter the invoice'd order number it in the upgrade option it says Invalid Number.

For some reason there was a flag on the gift order. I cleared it and it should now work for the upgrade.
