Helmet help?

I know I need to
put the cheese in the helmet
but I don't if I have to
wait for the officer to take his helmet off (he only seems to take it off if I'm not around)
or do something else...

    Simply click on his helmet a he will put it off.

    Click on the helmet, wait for Dibbins to finish his speech about the heat, then put the cheese in the helmet.

    Ive done this too, and although he has cheese in this helmet.hmm,hmm, he puts it on, goes into jail, but nothing new happens. Is this a bug or have I missed something?

    I cant find it ,I thought I picked it up earlier from the basement table, but Wallace hasnt got it in his pockets.

    Im sorry I havent been using my inventory, found the remote.
