Season 2 Product Key for steam?

So I bought season on amazon and it gave me a key to the telltale site. So I am wondering if I can some how get it to steam without making it a non-steam game. I don't want my saves getting screwed up please help?

    Or if i play season 1 on steam will my saves transfer over to season 2 even if there on telltale?

    Yes, your Season 1 saves from the Steam version will transfer to the Telltale version of Season 2 just fine, as they are saved to the same file directory.
