I apologize for the inconvenience. If you have received an incomplete, or damaged download file, please try disabling any anti-virus or internet firewall programs open and running that may be blocking the download from completing successfully, delete the installer file, and restart the download.

I am having the same error message. I have Windows 7 and have tried to download TWD-S.2 like 20 times or more in the last 4 days to no avail. It will download 102 mb - 602 mb> the download tab closes as if download is complete> opens to run? window> warns installer integrity check has failed>run anyway?> yes> error message pops up installer integrity check has failed, common causes include incomplete download and damaged media, contact installers author for new copy. I tried and failed again with all my security off with the exact same error message. So I really love TWD-S.1 and am more than willing to try a few more fixes before I am going to have to demand either a working copy of episode 2 or a refund from Amazon as that's who I purchased the product key from. I have checked every possibility I could think of on my end not to mention others experiencing major problems in all formats there for it must be on telltale's end. What are we going to do about the incomplete download or damaged media? Please help. It would be helpful if you guys offered a hard copy instead of everyone having to wait for the collectors disc first to come out then I'm willing to bet since it's a "collectors" we'll all have to pay for it again with shipping and handling too. I love your games this if I have to buy the one I want more than once just to have a working copy I just wait for the discs from now on so I only got to buy it once. :/

My apologies, you can also try downloading the installer using a different web browser, or you can try clearing your current browser's cache, and try the download again. Unfortunately if this does not work, I am out of potential solutions to resolve the issue. We are currently working on releasing a physical retail disc copy of Season Two, but have not released any information on the subject at this point. We also have a PC/Mac Collector's Edition DVD that is available for free to people that purchased Season Two from our website. We have not yet released any further information on the release date of these DVDs yet either. For the latest news and announcements, please check out our Blog, Facebook and Twitter. Stay tuned there for updates!

  • I tried clearing browser cache and using a secondary browser. Still getting the same error message: installer integrity check has failed, common causes include incomplete download and damaged media, contact installers author for new copy.

Can you please clarify if you tried deleting, and re-downloading the installer file after clearing your browser's cache?

On OSX, if the machine goes to sleep anytime during the download, the download is always corrupt even if it wakes up and continues the download - well kind of. It actually starts from the beginning again but appends it to the original downloading file. This happened to me twice before I turned off the power-save. OSX is too dumb to realise that high network traffic is just as much a sign of a machine at work as typing or moving a mouse.

On Windows 7 I found the machine sleeping in the middle of a download (yes Windows - and Linux - suck, too - I've worked with machines long enough to know they all blow-goats ) also causes corruption, but Windows tries to back-up a bit and start downloading from a point just before the problem occurred - which does not work, but a least Windows tells you. On WIndows 8, I punched out the stupid dashboard thingy before I could make headway so I can't tell you how it handles the problem.

Unfortunately, this problem is related to the way TellTale's CDN is configured. It does not have restartable downloads enabled. This is not a surprise, turning on such a feature can bring down a CDN very quickly, so we can't blame them for choosing the sane option given their titles are so popular.

So here's my proven working method for getting downloads to work with TellTale's CDN:

    1. Don't use WiFi - It's fine for email, but the protocol does not lend itself to long downloads. Yes, even C and N! Got a Mac? Buy the ethernet dongle thingy - OSX WiFi is iffy at the best of times.
    2. Turn off all power saving for the duration of long downloads.
    3. Make sure you have a stable and fast internet connection - use a speed test site to check. It should be at least 4Mb down or else the TT servers will get bored waiting for you.
    4. Don't use a download manager - really, don't! They are a source of much corruption on long downloads.

Story: My friend (TW) was having problems with TT downloads. He told me my advice was wrong because Apple Wifi is the best and so the fault must be TT's. No hating on Apple here, all WiFi sucks for long downloads, but I digress... I travelled to his house with a Cat5e LAN cable, a Thunderbolt gigabit ethernet dongle, and a dream. Twenty minutes later, everything downloaded successfully. Do you still think you don't have to ditch the WiFi for long downloads?
