Note that all information in this FAQ is compiled by community moderators Jennifer and Vainamoinen. We check our facts thoroughly and have a lot of Telltale experience on our backs, but this is not an 'official' source, we're just volunteers!

Will there ever be more Bone games by Telltale?
No. While Telltale was making Sam & Max Season One, they lost the rights to make games based on the Bone license.

Bone: The Great Cow Race FAQ

(1) What is Bone: The Great Cow Race?
Bone: The Great Cow Race is an adventure game adaptation of the second book of Jeff Smith's Bone comics, The Great Cow Race. It continues where Out from Boneville left off, as Fone Bone, Smiley Bone, and Phoney Bone attempt to find each other, and find themselves swept up in the excitement of the upcoming cow race.

(2) Was Jeff Smith involved in the game?
As with the first game, Jeff Smith was on hand to make sure that Telltale's adaptation stayed true to his original story.

(3) What is gameplay like?
This game was released before the cinematic story games such as The Walking Dead, so the gameplay doesn't consist of choices and consequences. The gameplay consists of puzzles which are mostly solved through manipulating objects and talking to characters.

(4) For which platforms is Bone: The Great Cow Race available?
It is available for PC through Steam. It used to also be available through the Telltale Store but it is no longer for sale there.

(5) How much does Bone: The Great Cow Race cost?
It can be purchased in a bundle with the first game in the series for PC through Steam for $10.

(6) Why did Telltale stop adapting the comics at book two?
Before they could release their adaptations of further books, Telltale lost the rights to make video games based on the Bone license.

(7) Will Bone: The Great Cow Race be ported to other platforms?
This is unlikely as Bone: The Great Cow Race is several years old now and Telltale mainly only ports their newer games to other platforms.

(8) Is there a bonus/free collector's DVD version for Bone: The Great Cow Race available from the Telltale store?
No, and it is unlikely there will ever be one as Telltale has mostly moved on from physical merchandise. There used to be retail releases for PC, but they are now out of print.

(9) Is there a soundtrack CD available?
No soundtrack CD was ever produced for Bone: The Great Cow Race. Since Telltale has mostly moved on from physical merchandise, it seems unlikely that a soundtrack CD will be released in the future. They used to share the soundtrack on the Telltale website, but it is no longer available.
