Nerissa and the Crooked Man
I finally had the pleasure of finishing The Wolf Among Us the other night and there are two points I drew from it that I would like to open up for discussion and see what you guys have to say on it.
Nerissa made the statement: "When we suffer, we do it in silence. The world likes it better that way. We just... fade. Like we never existed. I couldn't watch that happen to Faith. Or Lily. Nobody cares about us." She said that in reference to her and the other girls working at Pudding & Pie. What do you guys think about this statement and its context today? Does it carry weight? Has it affected your previous assumptions of such trades? What do you think TellTale was trying to get across? Is it a point that should be taken more seriously or just shoved off as "just from a game"? I am a huge fan of games tying in real-life problems, their ramifications, and their consequences, and this one struck me as profoundly well put. Do you care about them?
Secondly would be less of a direct quote and more of "everything involving the Crooked Man's trial". Words bear power. I was amazed at the methods put behind his character in evading accusations that would otherwise make him guilty. What do you guys think about his questions? Can a man so indisputably involved still get away simply from "no solid evidence"? Can words truly stump an entire court's judgement and turn it against them? How well did the Crooked Man play his part with such odds against him? Could he have swayed the whole trial to be against Bigby and Snow and gotten out clean or at least a draw?

Honestly at the end of the day where was the proof that the crooked man was involved with any of it, Basically Nerissa was the key evidence and she lied about it. Yes he likely was doing it but still, little to no evidence
Yeah, there are a lot of people nowadays who just fade, without leaving any trail behind. Nobody cares for them, nobody remembers them. It's really sad, but it's just the way it is. I found it really heart-breaking when Nerissa said these words.
