Crashing and Freezing on iPad

Hi,
I've just downloaded the first episode of this game today for iPad. However, it is constantly freezing and lagging during animated sequences, meaning it's pretty hard to play as decisions, quick time events continue to run even when the picture is frozen. It's also crashed a couple of times and sent me back to the home screen, which is pretty annoying as I'm having to replay sequences quite a lot. Is there a fix for this? I was really surprised considering how long the game has been out, this seems like something which would have been fixed by previous updates.
I should say that I have tried not running any other applications while playing the game, and re-downloading the app.

    I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify which version/generation iPad you are currently playing, and what iOS version you are currently running on the device? Also, is The Wolf Among Us game application updated to the latest version? (Version 1.2)
