Move the game to SDCARD
Hi,
I finished the first episode last night, so I bought full access to episodes 2 - 5. Now I've noticed than I can't download any of them since they won't fit on my phone's internal memory (only 2 Gbs and most of the space already used, only 100 Mbs available at the moment).
Is there a way to move the game to the internal memory (sdcard)? If there isn't, I think I would like to get a refund, since I wouldn't have payed for a game that I couldn't use. Is this possible?
Cheers.

I've been researching this and it seems like it's a common problem for all Telltale games:

If I understood it correctly, I can move episode 1 to external sdcard but episodes 2 to 5 will always download to the phone's internal storage.
I feel like this should be announced before the purchase. I've paid for a game that I can't now use! :-(
Could you please let me know how can I get a refund?
The lack of support to your paying customers is mind-blowing, Telltale :-(
I'm not a member of Telltale staff (just someone who volunteers a bit of her free time to help around the forum), but I'll try to help out as best I can.
If you don't want to move other applications over to your SD card so you can play the game (the delete method does work, as I have played it this way myself. Once you play episode 2, you can delete it and download and play episode 3 from your save game and repeat with no problems), and you still want your money back, you can try to contact Google for a refund.
To my understanding, you are correct on that last part. Telltale is referring those who would like refunds to Google Play.
I just want to know when they're going to address all of the issues that are piling up here. I've been patiently waiting over a week now. If they're working on an update or something, let us know! Or at least acknowledge any of my points of contact.
I've tried by uninstalling other apps, but there isn't much more room I can find and there are some apps I can't simply uninstall. Each episode is about 600-700Mb. Since episode 1 is core to the game, that's 1.4Gb as a minimum. My phone's internal memory is 2Gb. There's simply no way I can get so much room :-(
I will ask Google for a refund. Thanks! :-)
P.S.: If this is the only support provided to paying customers, someone from Telltale should take responsability and log into this forum periodically.
Hey guys, i downloaded wds1 but due to lack of space i was unable to proceed and in order to carry on i was willing to buy a new device. But then i thought, why not give it a try through unethical means. After 1month of research from my fellow developers i figured a way. Not to move the game files but to link them to sd. This requires about one mb in the system to be free ;P and about a 10class or avove sdcard with 5gb free..
Requirements
Let me warn you before hand, method '1.' Is unethical as it tampers with your sd card
(Rooted) You need to partition your sdcard
You can look for how to partition sd card in xda, search for partition sdcard in ext3 format
NOTE: partition clears all sd card data if done the easy way, make sure to use your pc for partition and not your mobile if you want to protect data. You need a card reader for partioning with pc.
Once sd card is partitioned, you need to download the app link2sd. If you are willing to pay you are supposed to buy the pro key before proceeding (pro is mandatory). Otherwise there are many cracks for link2sd on the internet.
Finally you boot up link2sd and it gives a pop-up to select libk file, you have to choose the libk file accordingly to your partition, eg if you have made an ext3 partition on your sd, then choose ext3 file type understood?.. last thing after buying the app and having all steps done all you got to do is look for wds1 and and click upon it, the 3dot menu on top-right corner contains an option to link2sd, it opens a menu with four checkbox, check all of them including library files and internal data, this'll link all episodes to sdcard leaving only 1mb use in sys storage for folder and link file....
ConGrAtz now you have alot of memory for season 2 also.
(Unrooted) this method is a bit uneficient and time consuming. All you need is, a file explorer that can rename files, thats all. All you gotta do is rename a file named as 'com.telltalegames.100' > 'com.telltalegames.1001' and then uninstall the app. What this does is that it retains the additional file present in the Sdcard and removes all episode data left behind by uninstalled or failed to install files freeing up about 100mb of data. Now that the app is uninstalled, you rename the file back again in the folder of android>obb>'com.telltalegames.1001' back to > 'com.telltalegame.100' and reinstall the app from playstore
NOTE: i'm not sure if this method is appropriate as this can delete save data. So root is kinda mandatory
Please support me and appriciate my work. ;-)
This was all possible because of xda developers awesome tutorials and a bit of tibge of developing from my side... THUMBSUPP..
