Teaser errors on oil-paint effect. Graphics downgraded?

I discovered that most of the teaser trailer has the oil-paint effect disabled. The official screenshots are different.

Is the trailer still representative of the graphics quality?

Or was the game graphics downgraded due to poor performance or glitches?

Which of the 2 versions corresponds to the final game?

  • We actually see this with TWD S2 and Wolf as well I'm pretty sure. I think they just enhance the screenshots to look prettier.

See this picture for example and compare to the actual game.

  • Yeah, and the initial Wolf Among Us screenshots had some smoother "ink" shading on the characters as well. I wouldn't say it's a major downgrade or anything in spite of that.

Yeah, definitely not a big downgrade. Still looks great in my opinion :P

  • They really did a great job on translating Peter Dinklage's face into the artwork.

  • The graphics can still improve as the season progresses. It could definitely look a lot smoother.
