Can't install episode 4.

I went on ahead and bought a season pass and successfully downloaded and installed episodes 2 and 3. When it was time to play episode 4, i downloaded episode 4 (after much struggling from that "network connection failed" error), it reaches 100% but when i try to install it, it goes back to the main menu and when i press PLAY it still says download episode on episode 4.. i tried redownloading, restarting my device, trying other internet connections (usb tether, wifi, lte), but still the same. I really want to play until the end. What will i do? I'm using a phone with a 1.3GHz Mediatek quad core MT6582 processor and a Dual Core Mali-400 MP2 GPU. I never had this issue with Season 1.

I apologize for any difficulties this has caused you. Unfortunately my only other recommendation would be to delete the individual episode and re-download it. To delete individual episodes, open the app, and at the main menu, select Help & Options. Then select Manage Downloads, and in that menu you will be able to select the episode you wish to delete, and tap the Delete button. Then re-download and install the episode, and you should be able to play successfully. You may need to try another WiFi network in order to receive a better connection with our servers.

If you are still unable to successfully play the episode, it may be related to your GPU being below the minimum system requirements. Where your device is using a Mali 400MP2, Season Two requires a minimum of a Mali 600 GPU or the equivalent. If the application is performing below min spec, it may experience performance/functionality issues such as these.

  • Ok, so that i find weird. I played the whole Season 1 no problem, and i also played Season 2 up until Episode 3 no problem and all of a sudden i can't play Episode 4 because of compatibility issues? Sorry but i can't believe that. Why would Telltale make an episodic game where each episode has different system requirement to play? Can't they just retain the system requirement for all episodes?

And yeah, i already tried deleting the episode in question (episode 4) and redownloading it but the same problem pops up. Must be a bug.

I recommend try connecting to a different WiFi network, and see if that connection allows you to download the episode successfully.

  • I have the same problem, sometimes it says : "Unavailabe Network". It's stable wireless connection. And I can't connect to another WIFI nerwork, because it doesn't exist. It's impossible to create another one, so I have to use the same all the times.

  • It says "Unavailable Network" when your internal storage fills up too much... Something I had to discover myself because the geniuses at Telltale don't know what they're doing.
Even though you've "downloaded and installed" episode 4, and it hasn't shown up on your list, it has actually downloaded... And those files are just taking up space on your device AND not being recognized by the app for some reason.

I complained about it last year and Telltale are still yet to admit that the fault is on their end OR release an update to the app.
The Wolf Among Us episode 2 does the same thing... I haven't bought any more Telltale games since, and I doubt I will, which is a real shame because their stories are excellent.

They'll just ask you your device details and blame your Wifi network.

I personally think it's their mode of episode distribution... Walking Dead S1 didn't have the issue because all the episodes were already available to purchase, while all other games had a "coming soon" method of distribution, which I think is interfering with it working.
If you play without wifi, or get the storage related "Unavailable Network" then any episode you don't have downloaded will switch to "Coming Soon", as if it's forgotten that the episodes have been released which just reinforces my thoughts.

Mike will reply, but it's always the same canned responses, which I believe he's being told to say.
