First impressions of TWAU (for those who have never heard of the comics like me)
Basically; when I first saw TWAU Episode 1 advertised back in October, I didn't bother reading the blurb about it being based off a comic book (I was interested in TWD Season 2 at the time) so I assumed it was an early century story about a Sheriff who becomes infected with Lycanthropy and he has to keep the fact that he's a werewolf hidden because of one reason or another. Then episode 2 gets advertised and I read the blurb about it being based on a comic, once again I passed it off because it didn't look appealing to me (I'm being serious here) Then in early April I decided 'what the hell' and downloaded the Ep 1 trial... never before have I downloaded a season pass and 3 episodes so fast in my life! The series had me hooked after the fight with the Woodsman and now I have most of the comic series and am anxiously waiting for a DLC/Season 2.

I know this feeling :P My story began in early August, after a full month of working hard on my game and finally submitting it onto Steam Greenlight, I've decided to take a big break, so I started playing TWD again. I've encountered TWAU by coincidence really, because I was exploring the details of TWD universe, and I've noticed a lot of people were using two acronyms: "TWD / TWAU", so I was like "what the hell does TWAU mean?". Uncle Google helped me find the answer, and I've noticed I saw a few screenshots from this game in the past couple of months. I just never was interested in it, just like HazzatheMan. Then I've noticed one of my favorite YouTubers was actually doing a series from this game, I was bored, so I've decided to go back and watch the first 30 minutes of Ep1. It literally took my soul. I was very short on cash, so I actually sold ALL of my TF2 hats and CSGO skins (It was worth it). I also have to admit: My #1 favorite game was Half-Life since... pretty much 2002. So after 12 years, The Wolf Among Us was the first game to brutally take the HL's place in my personal ranking (and I'm actually VERY glad it did).
Damn bro.... that's a lot more than I expected. I waited with bated breath for Ep4, I was still in college at the time and I couldn't stop talking about the game to ppl!
Well, I got into this game purely because it was a Telltale production. It was spring break during 2014, and I was really bored with nothing to do. I checked Telltale's Twitter feed to see news of Walking Dead, and I saw that A Crooked Mile was going to be released that week. Since I had nothing better to do, I bought Faith and Smoke and Mirrors and so on.
Amazing game, I really love everything about it. The noir atmosphere, the storyline, the artwork and soundtrack are also amazing. This will definitely go down as one of my favorite games. Like everyone else, I hope to see more Wolf content in the future.
I dont even remember why I bought Wolf. I think I saw it and I was just like. Ayyyy
I've found out about this game's existence by lucky accident, honestly. It all began back in late July, when I was in the middle of my holidays, hanging around and lollygagging. Thus, with Cry Wolf coming out, I had been quite often stumbling upon stuff related to some game called The Wolf Among Us while surfing the net, which is, as I guessed, pretty similar to TWD. It gained my interest, so I googled it and realized that the game is in fact by the same guys that worked on Walking Dead, and it got me excited even more. So I was like "Yep, I like them point'n'click adventures okay, gotta check this out some time later maybe". Yeah, right... When I saw my favourite YouTuber making a walkthrough of this game, it triggered the excitement spill for real at last, and I thought "Eh, what's the point of delaying, fuck it, installing right now!" I pirated the whole season, as I always do when it comes to discovering new stuff, and... the next 2 days passed like a dream, with me being stuck to the screen. And after the final credits flew away, I literally found myself in a state, close to prostration, with the strongest withdrawal I've ever experienced in my entire life. That was something I can't simply describe with words, but this I know for certain - never before had any game managed to touch the depth of my soul like that. As soon as I got money, I bought this masterpiece on Steam.
Really, I can't even imagine what my mindset and thoughts would've been like, if I had never discovered this game. I wouldn't have found this forum with you awesome people on here, I wouldn't have gotten this inexhaustible source of inspiration for my creative work, I wouldn't have had all these good times. Truly unforgettable. Whew... It felt really good getting this off my chest. Thanks for the thread, Hazza.

Always a pleasure to help the community.... did u read my fanfic yet btw?
At the time I knew NOTHING about the game or Fables (never heard of the comic like I said) The first two images I saw were of Bigby wolfing out and the Woodsman with his axe; because I didn't zoom in on the pictures I assumed it was early century because of Woody's flannel and of course his axe. Then after ep 2 got released I watched Gamer Poop of TWAU and realised that it was modern day with fairytale characters, I still wasn't interested for some reason (again I think it's because I was anxiously waiting for TWD Season 2 episodes) but then I got the ep 1 trial in early April and the rest is history
Not yet, sry. In all honesty, I'm pretty short on spare time these days.
fair enough bro, I'm still writing it... AND waiting for a DLC/Season 2 announcement!!!
Ain't we all? :P
Anybody who isn't clearly has no soul or taste. :P
Haha words of wisdom
Well at first I thought the plot was about a group of people being invited to some sort of party when all of a sudden, someone gets killed and decided to investigate the matter and sort of somehow discovered a werewolf of some sort. Well atleast thats what I thought
I only got into Wolf because I saw it was made by the same people who made TWD and well...TWD had great storytelling so why not give it a shot?
I never read the comics so at first I was like "what the fuck is going on". By the end it was "SEASON 2 RIGHT NOW PLEASE", though.
READ THE COMICS THEY ARE AMAZING!
