I have the same problem. Because of this, I can't progress further into the story.

@danbanks42 and @CryWolf I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify where in the game that the eye stopped working? Also, can you please clarify if you were able to back out of the 'Eye Screen', or did you become stuck in it?

  • Hello, Mike. For me, the eye stopped working after Rhys used the ID drive. I could back out of the Eye Screen, but if I wanted to scan something it would just freeze with sound still playing normally and it would only let me pause the game and press Esc to get into the menu screen.

Luckily, I may have just found a simple fix (at least for me). I went to replay the episode on a different save, making different decisions. I don't know if some of the decisions I made before caused the bug.

Can you please clarify if you have tried running the game in a lower graphics setting, or resolution? I recommend trying either a lower resolution/graphics setting, or try playing through that point in the episode in Windowed Mode by switching it using the PC shortcut (Alt+Enter) and see if the issue is resolved.

  • I'm playing on a 1920x1080 monitor, in windowed mode at 1280x720. I've tried multiple permutations of antialiasing/texture settings too. No dice.

My apologies, unfortunately I do not have any other potential solutions to resolve your issue. Can you please clarify if rewinding and making different decisions, resolves the issue, as @CryWolf explained above?
