Season Pass Issue (Xbox One)

Firstly, I'd like to say, I loved episode one. I'm wasn't a Borderlands fan before, in fact I'd never played one, but I adored this, so much so that I bought the season pass immediately after finishing it. When I was on the Xbox One's store today, I noticed when I clicked on Borderlands season pass, it only gave me the option to buy it, where it should say 'installed'. The same happens in the 'download content' option on the main menu, there's only an option to buy it again. It also doesn't show up when I go to 'manage game'. I have been charged for the pass though. I'm just wondering if this is something that will be fixed with a patch. or if there's something I can do to fix it. Thanks.

  • Thread: Purchased the season pass but it won't let me download...

I purchased it on the xbox one. I have consulted with xbox support and they told me to come here. They said that there may possibly be a problem with the servers. I thought I would come here first. I purchase the game and it doesn't appear in my queue. Anybody else experiencing this? Or have a solution?

    Thanks!

  • I am having the exact same issue. Purchased the season pass at 02:30 EST tonight and can't get it to download no matter what I try. I have done every troubleshooting method out there and nothing. I have the manage button but that just takes me to a black screen.

  • Same issue here! Rebooted Xbox One ect. The season pass shows up nowhere. I also had the issue with the manage button. But my account has been charged already for the amount.

  • Okay guys after talking to multiple representatives via Xbox support the season pass only includes Tales From The Borderlands episodes 2-5. The reason it will not download is because those episodes have not been released yet (obviously!). You have to purchase the first episode for the game for 4.99. Telltale games and Xbox PLEASE be more clear in the future. The term SEASON PASS is misleading we all thought it included episode 1.

    Hope this helps guys.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. As stated in the Season Pass for Tales From The Borderlands description, the Season Pass contains Episodes 2-5 of the Season, and Episode 1 is sold separately.

  • This kinda happened to me during TWD S2, what I did was delete the season pass and re-install it.

If that doesn't work then remove the pass, delete the game and its updates (not your save) re-install the game including the updates, then download the season pass again. That should work, if not then Telltale should have a patch out soon.

  • I can't delete the pass, since it didn't download. I'll un-install and re-install the game though, to see if it helps. Thanks.

Same for me, I just looked at the store and they added a "new" season pass and in order to get it I would have to rebuy it. I originally bought the pass by clicking DLC in game, which brought me to the Xbox Store.

  • fixed for me after updating the console, check in your settings bout the update

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are aware of the issue, and are currently looking further into the root cause of the issue. Episode 1 is currently available to download (Episode 1 is not included in the Season Pass) and we hope to have the Season Pass issue resolved in the near future.

  • Thank you :)

We believe to have resolved the Season Pass issue. Please start the game again now, and you should be able to download the Season Pass/purchase the Season Pass successfully.

  • I'm still having the issue. I have purchased the season pass twice now. Why isn't it showing up at all? When I go to manage the season pass from the Xbox one store I just brings me to a black screen.

My apologies. It appears that the issue is still occurring on the Xbox Marketplace, and in-game. We are currently working on releasing a fix for the issue, and hope to have more information in the near future.

  • Awesome thanks for the quick responses. Its actually really awesome to finally have a video game studio answer us gamers.

  • Thread: Season Pass problem.

I purchased the Season Pass the day it came out on Xbone with the game but it did nothing, it didn't even show up under 'Manage Game' and on the Season Pass store page it says it comes out on the 26th of November. It was available to buy again so I did so but I just got charged again and nothing happened. I am really annoyed at the fact I got docked €30. Has anyone else experienced this and how do you fix it . (Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work).

  • Thanks for the help. I'll contact Microsoft support.

  • Wondering the same. Mine is still broken. I'm probably just going to get a refund because this is pretty ridiculous and I don't want to have to keep thinking about this.

    Anything new?

@KennyIsGordonFreeman If you have purchased the Season Pass for Xbox, please note that the Season Pass includes Episodes 2-5, and Episode 1 is sold separately. You will need to purchase Episode 1 on the same Xbox Live profile in order to unlock the Full Game, and activate your Season Pass.

Thanks for the help. I'll contact Microsoft support.

@azGRIMES Can you please clarify if you have only purchased the Season Pass (Episodes 2-5), or have you purchased the Season Pass, and Episode 1? You will need to purchase both to have access to the Full Game.

  • Episode One works fine and 'My Choices' just unlocked. I just sent an email to Microsoft Support notifying them of this. I will just purchase each episode separately to be safe.

  • I have purchased both episode one and the season pass on Xbox one. I actually purchased the season pass twice because when I went to manage the season pass it said I hadn't bought it.

  • I bought episode 1 and played thru it, I then bought the season pass upon completing the game. It did not download and I am being asked to buy it again when I go to the store.

  • Thread: Season Pass Issue

I bought it for €14.99 10 minutes ago and after I bought it, the Season Pass didn't go into my Download Queue. The Game of Thrones Season Pass did go into my Download Queue after I purchased it. Did anyone else run into this issue? This happened with The Wolf Among Us a couple months back if I remember. The Season Pass should be The Tales From The Borderlands is similar to the Game of Thrones one. The Game of Thrones one gives you a 6 or so mb file to download as a "license" to verify that you have the Season Pass. The Tales From The Borderlands Season Pass doesn't even download a file. I completed Episode 1 first, then I bought the Season Pass.

  • Which platform are you experiencing this on? I'll move this to support once you elaborate which platform so you can get better help.

  • I have just bought 'The Telltale Games Collection' which is on sale at the moment, as I'm sure you know.
This problem with the 'Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass' issue is still ongoing. Is there any update on this bug being fixed? It seems like it has taken a long time. It also seems very silly that there is now a sale on the collection without fixing this issue, which will evidently have annoyed and confused many more people.
Like I said though, any update would be much appreciated please?
    Thanks.

  • Like TP08z, I also bought the tell tale games collection and it hasn't installed the Borderlands season pass for me either. Everything else works fine so I would like any updates on when this issue will be sorted. Thank you.

  • same here, was really confused, googled and saw that there is an issue with the borderlands season pass, any news when this will be fixed?

My apologies, can you please clarify if you are able to download Episode 1 of Tales From The Borderlands (separate from the Season Pass) by purchasing the Telltale Games Collection? We are aware of an issue where the Season Pass is not downloading correctly on the Xbox One for Tales From The Borderlands, and are actively working with Microsoft to resolve the issue. We hope to have an update on the situation soon.
