What's up with future Rhys? SPOILERS!!!
Ok, I'm sure everyone has noticed this, and I doubt I'm the first to post about it. In the future, Rhys' eye is yellow and his arm is silver, and of course, who couldn't notice his sweet suit? Also, it seems that Fiona and he aren't on the best of terms at that point. After seeing the final scene with you know who (not Lord Voldemort) standing at Rhys' shoulder, I started to develop a theory. I think it's possible that as time went on, you know who slowly took over more of Rhys' mind, making him more and more like him; maybe making him betray Fiona. Penny for all your thoughts (you won't actually be receiving any pennies).

No, doubt it. Telltale wouldn't take away your ability to make decisions in a game about choices.
If I was to take a guess - Rhys got his promotion regardless of your choices. As far as we know, some things go without player's choice, upgrades to his hardware can be just because he's lost old eye\hand combo. Theory: you can choose to take Jack as your new AI helper, or reject him. Either way you get hardware change. If you chose to reject him, you changed hardware because he's infiltrated old one and controlled it. If you chose to ally with him, you get new hardware to better suit him.
There you go. Choices, choices, but you get new shiny hand regardless. Just like you go to Pandora regardless of what you do, and team up with Fiona. Some things you just cant change.

Well, if your computer infiltrated with virus AI, and you are Hyperion rich jackass, you just buy a new one. Never know if you get rid of all AI software or your hand will load his kill-program and strangle you in your sleep. Better be safe, and geting an upgraded hand-model is a nice bonus.

Ok so I don´t know if it´s just me but I think both Rhys and Fiona have different clothes on in the future. I think that after they find the Vault (you know, that Gortys project thing) they (mostly Rhys) will get greedy, buy new clothes and stuff and then argue about all the loot. It´s borderlands after all.
Well Jack did say that he'll most likely kill both of them after the search is over. I'm going to guess that Rhys somehow gets Jack outta his head before our beloved Jack gets the chance to kill 'em.
Or he killed them and is using puppet strings and imitating their voices to make them seem alive!! Ok, probably not.
Always a possibility.
