Can't download episode 1 on PS3
Hey Guys,
on your blog post for TFtB it says that the game will be released for PS3 in Europe on 3rd of December. I purchased the season pass but cannot download anything. If I click on 'load' the season pass nothing happens. And in the Playstation Store there is only the season pass shown but no separate Episode 1.
Is the game really out yet, or is this a problem of the store? I've seen XB1 users had the same problem...
Thank you for your help

Episode 1 of Tales From The Borderlands should be available to download for PS3 in Europe. If you have purchased the Season
Pass, please make sure that you have downloaded and installed both the Demo, and the Unlock Key, and the Full Game will install.
Where can I download the Demo, or the unlock key? In the playstation store there is only the season pass. No demo, no Episode 1, no unlock key. I never had these problems with Wolf among us or Walking dead. There was always the season pass and the Episodes separetly available for download.
Can you please clarify what region/country in particular you are located in, within Europe?
Germany
Please open the Playstation Store again, and from the main PS Store menu, you should be able to scroll down to the View Downloads menu, and find the Unlock Key, and Demo for Tales From the Borderlands.
Mike, the View Downloads menu only shows me the games I have already downloaded. It doesn't show Tales from the borderlands. I downloaded Monkey Island, Back to the future, Walking dead 1+2, 400 days, wolf among us before and it always showed the 'Episode 1' of each series separately to download.
I tried now following things:
1. downloaded a game from a different Publisher from the playstation store -> worked
2. searched the section 'demos' for Tales from the borderlands -> not shown in the list. Monkey Island Demo, Back to the Future Demo are there.
3. tried to download the Demos of Monkey Island and Back to the Future -> worked
4. searched the full game Tales from the borderlands in the playstation store -> no result. It is only shown in the store in the section 'new releases'.
5. Asked two friends to look the game up and to download it -> they cannot download it either.
I have the same issue, just purchased the season pass and now cannot download the game... there is neither the demo nor the first episode in the german PSN store, there is only the season pass available... this is really annoying...
yeap..same with Game of thrones.. the big problem is the the episodes are not on the store.. the season passes are purchasable but you cant download the episodes cause they're not uploaded to the store.. and playstation blog admin said they never got any new info from telltale ..PLS MIKE HELP TO FIX THIS!!
Same here. I live in Germany. Bought the season pass of Tales from the Borderlands for PS3 last week, then was very surprised to not find the download for the actual game (Episode 1) anywhere. So at the moment I've paid for the season pass but can't play the game.
yeap, and it seems like we have to wait til next year.. no more store updates this year..
Well "Mike", no comments or anything? Thats pretty weak, man. Are you guys trying to bullshit us into buying multiple season passes on multiple cosoles, or what are you trying to pull off?
Tell you what: How about a code for a season pass on ps4, steam, whereever there's an actual game to enjoy, for each and every one on this thread.
Because "pissed" doesnt quite cut my current feelings towards telltale.
welcome to the club nobody wants to be in..lol
the newest response from mike was that they're actively working hard with sony to fix it but he doesnt have any update yet.. he said that yesterday..
fact is there's like a 10% chance they really can fix it before christmas.. but I seriously doubt that..
Well, thats at least something, right? Sigh... I already bought the first episode on ps4 out of desperation, but i'm definitely not doing the same thing for got, or the entire season passes. It's christmas, goddammit:D what really puzzles me is that theres no actual problem with the game itself, and the playstation blog was unaware of the problem as well. So what's the deal here?!
plus, does this only occur in germany? Theres at least one other german here...
yeah seems like it germany only at this point.. we got a GOT thread thats filled with germans who got the same problem..
I watched both episodes on youtube cause I'm tired of waiting..
great... spent my money for nothin... thanks...
Oh, well then we should start talking german, right!?
Anyway, it would've been nice to show some love, telltale! Give us a free episode for ps4 or SOMETHING!
Quit scroogeing around!
Oh, and same goes for game of thrones, of course. One can't just shrug off spending almost 50 bucks for nothing.
well.. a free ps4 episode isnt helping the people on ps3.. the ps4 is doing fine..over 1500 people that gave good ratings.. but you're right, there should be something..
and another thing is you cant really blame telltale and they know that..even though I agree they should really try to help us more.. I just cant imagine that sony ignores them since they are the publisher of the games..
Please help I've got the same problem for game of thrones and I live in Australia
Please make sure that you are searching for the Episode 1 title 'Iron From Ice', and you should be able to find it. Please note that if you have purchased the Season Pass, you will need to download and install both the Season Pass Unlock Key (1.2mb size file) and the Episode 1 Demo/Trial version. Once you have downloaded and installed both, the Full Game will unlock.
Mike, I'm also down here in Australia and this is still no good, I purchased the key prior to the demo, the demo is no longer available and the only thing I can download is they key. The demo is not in my download list either, and I've searched for "Iron From Ice" in the store and it can't find it. Any other ideas? Is it possible to just make the demo active for everyone? Thanks
My apologies, please try deleting the Game Unlock from your console's Save Data Utility, then return to the Playstation Store after you have deleted the file, and you should be able to locate the Trial version of Episode 1 (named 'Game of Thrones: Season 1, Ep1. Iron From Ice') in the PS Store. Please download and install that, and then the Game Unlock for the game, and the Full Game should unlock and allow you to play the game.
