    I've got it!

    Wait for it...

***VagrantWulf stands back and waves an arm.

    Hair-dresser and stylist!

In the shop, there can be various wigs of different hairstyles seen from different characters in the games, we could have Largo's hair in there, a very gingery beard that looks like Lechuck's firey beard, we could have Wally's distinctive locks, Cap'n Dread's dreadlocks, and we could have Guybrush's hair from CMI, EMI, and the the SoMI remake!

Just as visual gags, basically, all the hair-styles we've known from the games, the ones that really stand out. He could even have a poster on which he advertises a hairstyle called "The Murray", which would just be a bald shave! He could offer a buzzcut called "The Smirk"!

Stan should be a LuigiArts President, and his new idea is to just release tonnes of PlanetWars games which are half-finished and to ridiculously tight schedules. He should try to sell Guybrush one of these games before Guybrush realises it's actually effectively just a license which the games community has to build up itself.

I'm glad i'm not on TV, lawyers have always been quite nervous in my presence :-D

It's gotta be something appropriately sleazy. All his previous professions are notorious hard sell, customer exploiting jobs. So what rackets are left? Gifting pyramid schemer? Spammer?

    double glazing is left!!

Stan's Previously Owned Babies would be kinda funny.

Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man! Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man! Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man!

(I think of Stan every time I see that.)

I think Monkey Island humour is a bit...better than Family Guy.

The pattern went ships --> coffins --> life insurace --> (repressed memories of EMI).

So I dunno, something to do with zombie protection?

Wait I think I figured it out. The whole game is about zombie pirates. Stan's previously owned zombie something.

I reckon that was a pretty good guess.

    Something topical?

    Stan the subprime mortgage salesman?

Stan the Representative for a Rich and Financially Cheated Nigerian Prince ?
  • Monkey wrenches salesman

It would be funny if he set up a voodoo store right across from the voodoo lady..... Kind of like Walmart trying to take out a local mom and pop store.

what about Guybrush being captured by the pirates. so, he comes to a captain room for a talk and its revealed that captain is actually Stan in disguise, then you try to tell him that you know each other already :D

    Micro Grog brewer?

Stan's tricky, since he needs to sell something that's a high pressure rip-off, but also something Guybrush will need in some form.

I liked it best when i sold coffins only because I got to nail him in!!

    Fine leather jackets.

    /thread

    That way we can have:

Guybrush: "Ok, Stan, what are you selling this time?"
Stan: "Well, son, I'm selling these fine leather jackets!"
    Guybrush: "Oh ok--Wait a minute!"

TBH, I would prefer _NOT_ to see Stan in the game - or at least not to see _TOO_ many obvious things from the previous games re-used. It's ok to have a few well-placed cameos in some places, but to be honest I thought MI3 and MI4 had simply too many things that were getting a bit tiresome at the end (like different variations on insult swordfighting etc) - like "i've got a bad feeling about this" in star wars, or "I'll be back" in Terminator ...

That being said, I've got full confidence in Telltale that they'll make a game that stands on its own feet, and keep the references to past outings nice and discrete. :)

Its got to be something that is expensive and not needed but that Stan can get excited and animated about whilst trying to sell it... if only phones were around in that time period as he could be trying to sell bank card insurance or debt solutions via the phone.

I dont mind seeing cameos from all the previous characters. I would be dissapointed if none of them made an appearance in ToMI.
