Saves are there but Season can't find?

So, here is the problem;
I do not play on Steam btw.

I just finished playing Season 1 (it took me 2 days with a lot of dedication to do it that fast) and not even 2 minutes after closing it and opening Season 2, it says "Unable to find Season 1 save". It caught me off guard because I literally just finished the game. I open Season 1 again, and poof, it's not there.

I checked my Documents for the "The Walking Dead" folder, and all of my saves are THERE, right next to my "The Walking Dead 2" folder, which is the Season 2 file. It doesn't show any completed files on the first season game when you open it, but it says in my documents. I thought it could have done something with that, but I guess not.

This has never happened before, it just disappeared it the span of 1 minute. I'm also really frustrated because I DO NOT want to waste more time playing the entire season 1 again, and if this situation happens again... oh boy.

Please help!! Is there a way to recover it or something?
