S2E3 - Character comes back to life [Spoilers]

Just started up Episode 3 and the sadly departed Alvin (shot and killed when Kenny tried to 'save' him by shooting Carter in the previous episode) is somehow back alive? Seems like my choice from the previous episode has somehow been overwritten?

Have only played Episode 2 through once, then shut down afterwards and today, when I've come back to the game for Episode 3, all of a sudden he's back. Anyone else had something like this?

    I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you were playing the game while online, connected to the internet, and logged into your PSN profile? Also, are you playing the digital download version of the game, or the disc version?
