  • 1) Lily's death is still a mystery.

    2) He thought he could win the argument with what he had. If Nerissa didn't show up then he would be released due to a lack of evidence (unless Bigby killed him for the hell of it :P)

    3) Crooked Man was and wasn't doing good: He did good by giving out loans of money when the Business Office wouldn't; but he did bad by keeping them in debt afterwards and threatening them if they tried to get out of it.

    4) Crooked Man hired his employees...

    5) It's all just theories with Faith/Nerissa atm :P

    6) Unknown; but maybe it will be explained in TWAU Digital Comic that's being released atm...

    3) loan sharking can't be good....
    4) no way, Crooked Man made all the decision.
    5) agreed with HazzathMan....IMO i think it's Faith
    6) agreed with HazzathMan

    1) Georgie probably killed Lily, he admitted to both murders multiple times, he always said he was following the Crooked Man's orders, but he rarely denied actually doing the deed. The cleanness of the beheading obviously suggests he just pulled the ribbon.

    2) What else could the Crooked Man do after Bigby cornered him? Sure he could try and shoot Bigby, but he already missed once. Taking his chances at a trial was better then being ripped apart by Bigby at the foundary.

    3) An element of organized crime can help to keep a modicum of order, after all there will be lower amounts of random crime with the Crooked Man running things, he wouldn't let any small time criminals hone in on his territory. But he was also pretty much engaged in sex-slave trade, he stole the Butcher's business, and he was involved in two murders. The Crooked Man clearly was doing more evil than good.

    4) He probably let them run their businesses with little to no interference, but if he wanted them to do something, they did it.

    5) Thematically it makes more sense for it to be Faith. Her story (Donkeyskin) is about a girl who disguises herself until someone can see through her disguise. In this scenario, the Faith you meet at the very beginning is the real Faith, and the Faith head you find is a glamoured Nerissa (who you never actually met.)

However, logically, it makes more sense for it to be Nerissa. Georgie obviously killed who he thought was Faith (he admitted to it), why would Nerissa glamour herself to look like Faith before all the murders went down? It makes more sense for Georgie to have killed the real Faith, and Nerissa to have glamoured herself to look like Faith in the opening scene. In this scenario, Faith is dead before the series even starts. Also it's said that glamours are expensive. In the previous scenario Faith needs 2 glamours (one for the body and one for herself, and both need to be good long term glamours cause she can't have the body or herself deglamouring during Bigby's investigation), in this scenario Nerissa only needs one glamour and she only needs it to work for the opening scene. It makes more sense for Nerissa to be able to afford a cheap one time glamour then for Faith to somehow be paying for 2 long term glamours.

    6) Unknown. It seems like they cared about each other at least. But that's as far as we know for now.

    1. Lily's death is the biggest mystery of them all. Lily presumably lost too more blood than Vivian when she pulled her ribbon. I suspect it was a setup and it was not her blood.

    2. Well, Bigby defeated Bloody Mary so he did not have much choice. Plus he's arrogant as shit.

    3. Since, Jersey and Mary do work for him, he does answer for their actions. No, whatever gains afforded to the community were damaged by how they had to pay back.

    4. Yes, that made working for him that much more appealing.

    5. We can only assume that she was the same person in the beginning of episode 1.

    6. I believe the Book of Fables said they met during the exodus of the Homelands. They wanted to go into business for themselves and created a discretionary nightclub to cater to all tastes. Don't hold me to that though.
