Mac crash after ‘click to begin’
I played ep 1 fine on this machine a few months ago, today I downloaded ep 2 directly and encountered a problem with the game loading. Checked the forum and made sure I downloaded the patch and re-installed. Restarts before and after. Still the exact same problem:
I 'click to begin', then I get an instant of "checking for DLC", then the game crashes with no error messages.
I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

Same here. I can't find any fixes... Kinda want my money back honestly.
I wonder if it's working better through steam. I wish I could get my money back and buy through them.
Same here, are they fixing this? Why is there no feedback
No idea. I've had no acknowledgement in this thread.
I'd send a support ticket, but I learned with episode 1 that it was a complete waste of my time. They never even read it properly. At least they sometimes respond on the board.
Appearently their skill in story telling doesn't match their skill in technological service and support. I'm having this exact problem.
I'm having the exact same issue. Honestly this entire experience has left me exasperated. I'm going to keep trying with this game (because I already paid for it) but I have no intention of buying anything from this company again.
I wonder if it is better with steam....but that is so true, i am never buying a game from telltale
Mine is the same... so... did I just waste $30? Awesome. =/
Same problem
Telltale, find a solution for this or give our money back !
Yeah, I even tried it through Steam and it still crashes. This is fucking bullshit. Wish I would have read these comments or reviews before purchasing.
Same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Each time I've been having a new issue. This is the latest.
me too, i JUST bought it thinking of playing an epic adventure, now I only got an epic regret and hate...
Please tell me if there is any way to play AT LEAST episode 1.
I also followed all support's tips and re-download the "patched" one (not working); as before, as soon as it connects to DLC'ing something, it quits without any message.
Please, as support post suggests, find here attached my GOT MAC SUPPORT TOOL GENERATED FILE.

I'm having the same issue. I've reinstalled it like 5 times over the last 4 days. What is going on here??
same here :S
Shame on them seriously leaving their customers wihtout any help for weeks, what a lame.... I'm having the same problem, I 've been posting on forum for a week and still no answer !!
I'm having the same problem and it so frustrating that there are no resolutions yet. Please update if any of you get any support on this issue.
The guy just tells you to download the patch and if that doesn't work he says "we are currently looking into an issue where Mac users are unable to play the game after downloading the patch, and hope to have a resolution in the near future."
Has anyone found a solution for this?
I am also having this problem. I click to play then it says checking for DLC then closes with no error or anything. Seems like a lot of us are having this issue. Has anyone been able to find a way to get past this and play the game??
I apologize for any difficulties this has caused everyone. We have updated the critical Mac patch, and you should now be able to start the game, and download Episode 2 successfully without the game crashing. Please make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of the patch from the Game of Thrones PC/Mac Patch Thread and followed the instructions to install it, and you should be able to start the game, and download Episode 2.
It's still a bit glitchy but this did remedy the click to begin crash issue so far
Hi guys,
the very last Mac Patch did work for me at last.
So I just wanted to add that it was my first time on the mac and all these issues.
When I login, the mac asks for email/password; despite how many tries I did, it was not the email it wanted, but my name in the email field. Maybe this can help someone else out there on the mac.
cheers,
Alessandro
